I have been to the doctors numerous times who say they are not very good with Catarrh, I would suggest you take Sudafed. I have taken Sudafed, Nasonex, Beconase, Sinutab, Clarityn and many other over the counter drugs for congestion and antihistamines because to add to my problems I suffer with Hayfever - great. So no luck at the docs and a few years ago insisted to see an ENT specialist who checked me out, said I had a lot of Catarrh running down my throat but there were no blockages, polyps etc so that was the end of that. In the last 6-9 months I found myself taking more and more Sudafed to try to keep clear but this had an adverse effect and was causing something I believe is known as congestion rebound. As soon as I got in bed, the Catarrh would run to the back of my throat causing a choking sensation and I would spend literally hours trying to clear my throat in bed (glad my wife is not a light sleeper) so to help me get some sleep I would take sleeping tablets. I started these approx 3 months ago which is when I realised this is not right and must do something about it so started to search the internet and came across this product. Although this is pricey, compared to the money I have spent on nasal sprays etc over the years, it's a snip even in the economic downturn. Anyway I have now had the product for approx 1 month and am quite satisfied. I use it in the evening approx 1 hour before bed to allow the water to drain away and can honestly say it has stopped the post nasal drip which caused the choking sensation therefore allowing me to have a decent nights sleep which for me is a fantastic. I have only given this 4* because I would have thought it would have cleared me out more and it is VERY noisy.
