CatEye Volt 400 XC Front Lights and Reflectors, Cycling - Black, NO SIZE

I'm very pleased with this light, so much so that I have purchased a second one on Amazon Warehouse Deals. I have 'out front' cycle computer brackets fitted(the sort that fit on the original handlebar clamp) and have used the strong bands to mount it underneath them. If you would like to remove the original mounting bracket from the Volt 400 XC for a similar purpose simply peel back the rubber mounting pad underneath which will expose a torx screw used for attaching the bracket to the main body. It is easy to charge and the charge lasts a long time. There are several good flashing and constant brightness settings which give a good choice in daylight and darkness, with the brightest setting being adequate enough for the average user(unless you are travelling at night at abnormally high speed on roads with pot holes).

I upgraded to this light as my other light was not bright enough to light up the road on my early morning commute. Even on its lowest setting it is enough to light the road ahead of me and on its highest it is super bright! The battery life is good and it warns you when it is getting low, the button turns red. The only reason it looses a star is the mount whilst it is easy to get on and off and secure when attached I do believe that at some point I will have to replace it as it is only rubber and won't last forever, hopefully the mounts are easy to get hold of I haven't looked into this yet.

great light. used it on completely darkened roads and it provides enough light to get home safe. small and easy to fit, battery life great and easy to charge. no issues with it at all.

Lit up the path and road on my work commutes amazingly well. Far reaching and very bright. People say it's awkward to take on and off but i find it easy to attach and detatch. Compared to my old Cateye Omni 3 this is not even in the same category. I can see a long way up the road now, i can see road signs, pedestrians etc long before i could with the Omni. It lights up the trees about 200 years down the road. I almost hit numerous people using the Omni because it just wasn't any good in pitch black darkness. This makes me feel safe and allows motorists to see me much better. This 400XC is really all you need for a work commute or rides in real dark conditions.

I’m really torn on how to rate these lights... fantastic brightness and beam. Impressive battery life, simple controls, nice and compact and i got two of them half price. So in my case, great value. I ride at 6:00am in Scottish country side. So it’s pitch black. I use the lights to see AND be seen. And functionally they are wonderful. But the strap... it’s absolutely terrible. I have never before saw a light which has to be completely removed from the bike for charging including the entire strap/bracket. Not only that but the lights can move upon hitting potholes. The straps aren't 100% secure. Doesn't happen often. But has done. It’s like Cateye are selling a premium light with a bargain bin strap, like a Rolex stuck to a Casio wristband. Would i buy them again? For half price you bet. Full price? Nope.

Really good light, nice and bright. It attaches with a band instead of a clip, and it doesn't wobble or fall off at all. The previous light fell off after every bumped down curb or pothole, so this makes a nice change.

Great light, really bright, the light housing is solid and well built, no rain ingress during daily use and the battery lasts a good while. Four stars as i don't like the mounting band - not top to usual standards of cat eye products.

I cycle at night every other week along an unlit paved cycle path and needed a reliable light with food illumination and durability. Impressed enough with this light to be tempted to buy a second one as a 'just in case light's. For the £19.99 I paid for it it's a great little light. It lights a fair chunk of the path ahead and is bright enough that I feel more than confident to cycle at a good speed. If you want a reasonably priced light with great illumination I would happily recommend this one.

En estas fechas, a los que salimos por las tardes, se nos echa la noche pronto encima. Por eso es imprescindible tener un buen foco. Esta luz frontal tiene 4 modos de funcionamiento. El de 400 lumen es impresionante. Alumbra a bastante distancia y dura 2,5 horas.

E' come me lo aspettavo. Praticamente perfetto.

Modèle décevant de la part de Cateye. Le système d'accroche de la lampe n'est plus le même ce qui était un point fort de la marque avant. Vous pouviez perdre la lampe et en mettre une autre de la même marque ou acheter l'attache séparément. L'attache s'adaptaient sur tous les diamètres de cintre et tenait très bien. Ensuite la lampe tiens sur l'attache avec une vis torx mais il arrive que le lampe ne garde pas sa direction. J'en ai 2 ... une ne bouge pas, l'autre bouge constament. Par exemple un passage sur des pavés et votre lampe éclairera sur la gauche. Sinon très bon éclairage, c'est très puissant, les modes sont très bien. Surtout le low light + flash. Voyant de charge en usb, et bonne autonomie.
