is this good for sketching

This is a lovely journal but as someone with a design degree I feel pretty sure in saying it is not really right for sketching as all the pages are lined. I bought it for a research project and I thought it had lined paper one side and plain the other, but all the pages are lined. So - lovely journal it feels special but probably not good if you are looking for a sketch book. Best wishes.

Is there a logo on the journal?

No it is totally plain, no marks at all.

Does this have enough space under the cover for a pen to fit?

Yes it does, but I am not sure how secure it would be. There isn’t a specific loop for a pen as there is with diaries / Filofaxes. The other possible problem is that it may damage the edge of the pages. It would probably be better to secure it with the leather strap on the front or do what I have done and put it in a case that will not only keep it clean, but also has room for assorted pens/pencils and a place to temporarily put tickets, photos etc until they are put in the journal.
