Perfect portion and good for hard frozen ice cream
I've always wanted to try one of these. I work in place that sells a lot of ice cream and everyone hates making them because the ice cream is hard to scoop out. Just push down and twist. It's a game changer. No matter how hard the ice cream is, it takes the scooping time down by half and the portion is perfect. I bought for myself at home but had to share it with my job. We will never use anything else now.

Scooper Not as illustrated
The scooper does not work well in standard ice cream tubs this size of Breyers nor Talenti ice creams.Even rinsed before scooping the ice cream sticks to the tool and comes out in a sticky shape. It does not make a solid cylinder shape as illustrated. RETURNING IMMEDIATELY!

Reminds me of thriftys ice cream cones
I love this ice cream scooper. It reminds me of the old thriftys ice cream cones. So easy to use. Dip in warm water first and ice cream comes out easy

Love it!
This is far and away the best ice cream scoop I have ever use. No need to sprain your wrist because the Rocky Road is frozen hard. Just stab this guy in there, twist, and yoink! Great for needing to serve quickly, like kids parties. Also, making ice cream cookie sandwiches with this is super easy. Highly recommended!

Cool Scooper, Kinda Hard to Use
This is a really cool scooper and I really wish it worked as well as the overall idea and nostalgia behind it (totally like Thrifty's!). I'm sure it would with better in a large bucket of ice cream, but in those smaller cartons, it's harder to get it to scoop. If you heat the scooper, it slides right in, but it's still hard to get it to scoop because when you pull up it then just slides out without ice cream. You have to kinda scoop sideways to get a scoop out. Which is why I can see it working well in a giant container of ice cream, like those giant Thrifty's ice cream drums, but not so much in the smaller containers you generally get at the store. My husband was over it after trying to scoop a couple of times, but I haven't given up hope of finding a giant ice cream drum and making enough room in the freezer to use this scooper more regularly and without issue. All in all, don't throw out your old, small scooper just yet, even if you do decide to buy this one.

Works good
Works great! No rusting! Just know that you can’t get to the bottom of ice cream tub as easy as you may think like I did 🫣 works best in shallow containers
