Perfect size for 1kg bags of flour/sugar
This is the perfect size for a bag of flour/sugar that is 1kg. If you want it for 1.5kg flour/sugar get the same container in 1.8l. I feel like this is the kind of information I wish they put in the product description or someone put in their review! It's organised my cupboard perfectly and removed the risk of anything going stale or attracting bugs. Love these two sizes, especially if you bake and end up with multiple sugars/flours. Good quality and I hope the airtight seal lasts.

Versatile storage for food and other items
A slightly larger, 1.5 litre, container in a similar format (same width but deeper) has been much used for pulses, grains and seeds such as sunflower, pumpkin etc often used in seed breads) but they appear to be no longer available. This is the closest alternative and is to be used for the same groups of ingredients. Although most often used for foods, smaller versions contain screws and other DIY bits and pieces and others of various sizes used elsewhere in the family for crafting and small stationery items. All Lock & Lock containers are rugged and the seals and locks able to accept a lot of use without failing. Air- and water-tight, they protect dry ingredients from external odour contamination and can also prevent spillage of any liquid they contain. Much copied and emulated, these are the original and still the best.

Love these containers.
I already had a couple of them and wanted more. 2 more would have been perfect, but I couldn't find that configuration and I will probably end up using all of them. I like to have ingredients handy in my pantry and these are a good size. I have always found them to be very sturdy with an air tight lid. It's perfect for brown sugar still in the box or my 1 pound package of cocoa, still in the container it comes in. I used it store nuts, beans, and several kinds of seeds I store in the freezer for adding to bread. If you mostly don't cook, I guess this won't be that useful, but if you cook most or all of your meals, these are great.

good quality
really good boxes, holds about 800gms worth of pulses or grains. I use them to organise my pulses cabinet. Very airtight can be re-purposed for storing food or carrying soups.
