Great present they loved it

Had a quick trial at home. They appear to work ok. Will be trying them out on the course soon.

I would suggest this item is a good buy for a novelty gift. However, they are quite cheap looking glasses and I suspect would end up in the bin. Therefore, I decided to return the two I ordered. I am glad I did and I think the money would be better spent on something else if you are thinking of this. When I told the two people (who both play golf regularly) that I was going to gift them these, they both said that these glasses generally are not good and stated that they would not have used them and most golfers would not be seen to use them either as you look a bit silly as they don’t really work. I went with socks in the end and both stated socks were a better choice. Returning was an easy process though. I have given three stars as I still think they are OK as a cheap novelty gift.

really helped in seeing the flight of the ball in low winter sun, also great help in finding golf balls in leaves makes the white ball stand out.

OK, so firstly, I read other reviews before requesting these. I cannot fathom why some people are trying to hit a golf ball or wear these for an entire round of golf - that is NOT what these are designed for. They are used when you're having trouble finding your ball. Or, as some friends do, going around their club at the end of the day and finding lots of balls others have lost. It must come down to personal preference; one of my friends swears by these, but I saw only a marginal improvement. Yes, they helped to alter the tone/contrast so balls do stand out a little more, but I'm not sure if the improvement is significant enough for me to rely on them a lot. Maybe it was the conditions I was playing in; it was an overcast day and apparently, these work much better in the sunlight. I cannot fault the glasses themselves, they are well-made, comfortable and the bag/case are great too. Maybe, if you have a real problem with contrast they are of use but for me, the improvement wasn't enough for me to be digging them out of my bag to use regularly.

The recipient was tickled with how these glasses work. He said they make the grass go darker and the golf balls pop white. I hope he gets a lot of use out of them!

It works but on white balls mostly. I had problems seeing red and orange balls in the grass. Didn’t have a green ball to experiment with but white balls definitely stand out with these glasses.
