Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 250 AW Backpack for Camera

A good outdoor camera pack and a useful flight cabin bag.
I wanted a medium-sized pack to carry my camera gear safely along with some outdoor gear on photographic shoots on Dartmoor. I looked at lots of options and eventually decided on this Lowepro. I am very pleased with it, especially as it can be hard to judge capacities based on photos. As it happens it carries my mirrorless Fujifilm with a 55-200mm lens attached along with a mix of 2 other lenses, cable release, batteries, binos, a small flashgun and cleaning gear. There is enough space elsewhere for a water bottle, an iPad (without case), jacket, small lunchbox and other small bits and pieces. It is very well put together with a neat double attachment strap system for a tripod. Zips and fabric are high quality and the two side pockets, though thin, will carry modest weight items snugly. My biggest surprise is how comfortable it is, even fully loaded with all my gear for a star shoot. The straps are contoured and fully adjustable and the pack sits firmly on my back helped by the padded waist belt - which also has two handy though small zipped pockets, useful for keys etc.Although only used a few times I feel it is rugged enough to last years and is going to be my cabin bag of choice on flights due to its compact size.

Superb bag - as comfortable as a rucksack!
The media could not be loaded. I've been looking for a camera bag which I can take up mountains for a long time. There seems to be a real market here and Lowepro have got a real gem in this bag. It swallowed my D5100 (with L bracket) fitted with Nikon 18-200 lens, an additional Sigma 10-20 lens, some ND filters, a DJI mini 3 pro, with DJI RC, plus 3 batteries and a pack of ND filters for the drone. That's all in the camera section. There is space at the top for my outdoor gear - waterproofs, down jacket, 1st aid kit, lunch etc. There is still an unused front pocket and the tablet/laptop pouch (who goes hiking with a laptop?) will fit a water bladder, or the side pocket will hold a 1L water bottle. On the other side I have a Manfrotto tripod. It is as comfortable to wear as my regular mountain rucksack and I can safely carry my camera kit.I was a little surprised that it was smaller than expected and feared I should have bought the 450, but this is a little TARDIS and is just about perfect.

Great bag
Its very comfortable and my back doesn't get sweaty on longer hikes due to the mesh back. There are a few drawbacks: Whilst it hasn't broken yet, I can see due to the way the straps are attached at the top, coming in at an angle they will start to tear off eventually. The way the zip is designed, opening the main compartment puts a lot of stress on the zipper teeth as you're pulling and twisting the zip apart when you bend the flap far open. The compartments are also very deep, it took a lot of fiddling with various 3rd party foam and dividers to get it to a point where I was happy nothing was flopping around and the space was fully utilised. Id still recommend it and if mine does break I'd likely replace it with the exact same bag.

In total, a very good camera back for outdoor activities, backpacking or even hiking
Very good backpack the camera compartment is wee bit small ( if you have extra accessories like filters, extra lenser or even second camera such as i might be a problem) but good organisation skulls and you ready to go exploringCompartment for your stuff like food or some additionala sweater or a hoodie or a thin jacket should fits good, side pockets are deep and it's not problem for tripod or even water bottle.Advantage- Good material- Good price- side pockets are deep- Pocket for outdoor gear are decentDisadvantage- camera compartment it could be a little bigger

Good size
This replaced my old backpack which was too heavy and not suited to carrying extra clothes and snacks. Providing you do not want to take lots of lenses this will suit a day out hiking and photography.I find this comfortable and well designed, space for bottles, tripod etc. Lots of thoughtful spaces for batteries, memory cards, filters, food and some clothing.Recommended

Buy this bag. You wont be disapointed.
This is really an excellent camera backpack. Very comfortable to wear. Good ventilation. Lots of pockets. Inside is totally customisable. Top part for clothes or lunch can be converted to larger camera area. I have: canon6d, 24-70mm fitted alongside canon 100-400mm in standard camera space. Ie room left for lunch etc. 350 one is perfect size for day bag or overnight. Big side pockets for mono pod and bottle. Water proof cover feels rubbery and reassuring. Camera compartment only accessible from rear which is great for travel as kit will be safe from theives. Lots of elesticated loops to tidy long straps. Many moveable dividers included.
