This works great for going out and snow blowing especially when the snow is still coming down the light shines through.

I wanna love it but, it certainly doesn't look like the picture advertised. I bought it for my wife, and it's cozy soft for sure...the light works great. It's just going to make her look like she has horns. I realize this this may be fitting for many wives...but let's not start the fire right? 4 stars

I got this for a Christmas gift and I couldn’t give it to my husband because it was such a weird shape. I should’ve returned it but it wasn’t worth the hassle. I stuck it in our hat bin and it will be a back up hat I guess.

It was not like. The other lighted beanies I ordered this one was very difficult to get the light apparatus out of the hat. As far as the hat and in the quality of the net it was very nice I wish I could’ve kept it

I got this to use while walking the dog. With colder weather here I wear thick gloves and have a tough time holding my little flashlight and turning it on, so I tried this light out. The hat fits well. The light seats in a rubber grommet so it can be easily removed and reseated. The light and the grommet both have a flat side, so you know how to orient the light. You must take the light out to charge it and to wash the hat. There is a red LED on the light that stays lit until the light is fully charged (it comes with its own short charging cable). The light has three settings: low, high, and for some reason flashing blue and red which are hard to see from a distance. The light setting is selected using a button in the center of the light. Neither the low nor high setting are as bright as a regular flashlight. With the setting on high the dog and I set out. The first thing I noticed was that the light shone straight out in front of me instead of where I was walking so, I had to continuously look down to where we were going to step. The problem is that the light sits flat on your forehead. The hat initially seemed warm enough but as soon as the wind picked up, I noticed that the hat did nothing to stop it from making my head cold. Although the light, even on high, is not as bright as I am used to, it is bright enough to safely walk at night. The hat and the light are of high quality and all the sewing, including the grommet seating, is well done. It is as warm as any other stocking cap as they all let the wind through. This light frees up one hand and lets you swing your arm to keep balance without the light moving all over the place as the hand swings. Overall, an innovative idea and well made.EDIT: I removed some of the review about how I was going to get the light to aim properly. I told my wife what the problem was, and she asked if I had folded the bottom of the hat up. I had folded the bottom up like you normally would a stocking cap but that covered some of the light. She suggested folding the bottom to the inside instead of the outside. Guess what! The light shines exactly where it should. I tried it again last night and this is the solution to aiming the light. I raised the starts to five as I now have no complaints about this hat.
