Pauses for Advent: Words of Wonder

I get the pleasure of reading and discussing them with a group. I really enjoy these daily readings to keep my focus on advent and Christmas! I recommend doing it as a group study to be able to share with others!

This Advent devotional was very good and thoughtful. It contained relevant scripture and thoughts that helped me gain a better understand and closer relationship with God and what he wants me to do. I have read other devotions by Trevor Hudson and find the very helpful in my faith journey.

I like Trevor Hudson's one word a day studies. Easy to use for whole church studies.

Great short book to help keep the focus on Christ being the reason for the season of Christmas. There is a reflection at the end of each Word chapter.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is seeking to move their focus away from the trappings of consumerism, family discord and all else that the Christmas season can bring and is choosing to bring Christ to the forefront. Each day’s reading leads us into a reflection opportunity. This book increased my Advent experience greatly and for the better.
