WILL NOT WORK WITH GOOGLE VOICE
While the phone appeared to be in great working order, it has obviously been provisioned previously and will not work with Google Voice.Support from Polycom and GVoice is non-existent, or at least not readily obtainable to solve the problem.UPDATE:Polycom was able to reset the phone to original factory specs and phone is now working as expected.

How to take a good product and destroy it
I'm clearly not the only one with problems. Obihai phones were so nice. This looks like it should work like one, but after several reboots with customer support just trying to get what should be a default password, it's a brick.First, there is no default password in the product, so I had to contact customer support. They had 4. The 4th turned the screen black with concerning color bar at the bottom of the screen.Same color bar at the top of the screen on boot. Then I get 2 versions of the logo and then a screen similar to the functional Obihai product. So, support tells me to do a factory reset and send a video that shows how with a boot that doesn't at all resemble the way this phone boots and requires holding down some keys, but not the keys in the video says the support person, different ones.On the third try with holding down keys at various points, the screen is black. It's a dud. I hope HP finds the Obihai people and hires them and reissues their product in a way that works. This is an expensive device to not even have a card in the product that says, "The default password is ______" let alone all of these issues with the product and password.

Great Receptionist Phone for Small Business
I purchased this phone for a client. Setting it up with FreePBX was a bit challenging, but in the end we got a very nice phone system for handling calls in a small business.

Good phone, but doesn't do the only thing it was bought for
I'm generally very happy with the quality of VXX x50 phones, have a few of them. This one, however, was shipped with a very obsolete firmware version that makes it useless to connect to Google Voice - the only thing this particular phone is good for. It already cost me about two hours talking to Google customer support to even find out that I need to upgrade the firmware.Update: turned out that the phone was shipped with UC Software (so "OBI Edition" in the product title is a misstatement), which is not compatible with Google Voice from Workspace. Luckily, there is an upgrade path to OBi Edition Software so I finally got it working, though it cost me more in time than this device costs. For those unlucky enough to end up in this situation, search for "ARTICLE ID: 000032863", this should land you at "VVX x50 Software Stream Conversion Guide (UCS to OBi Edition)".

Saved a ton of money!
Bought for Google Voice. Works great. Wish the company directory synced up. Also, the hot keys you have to enter everyone's number. No need to answer VM which to me is a plus. Not that many video reviews online for this.Wifi add on is great!Saved us 6k a year over Comcast BVE!
