History that reads like a novel. As a long time Bahamas cruiser, I loved every page. Although it ends in 1850, it is nevertheless contemporary in many parts of the Bahamas.

I am putting together the family tree for a Bahamian girlfriend and found this book extremely helpful - and interesting!

Please make a kindle version! I have read this twice in college and always want to have a copy with me.

Lots of detail for family trees and genealogy, especially from Virginia & the Carolinas.

Dad has an interest in the book's content for referencing family history. It was a present for him really but he's pleased with what appears to have been a present for somebody else possibly from a relative of one of the people mentioned in the book. It has their message in the front cover which gives it that little extra value. Otherwise, all was in good time and well worth the money for a smiley father.

Well written book on the history of the Bahamas. Excellent reference source.
