NeilsenNeilsen CT15804PC STUD EXTRACTOR 3/8 AND 1/2 inch DRIVE IN CASE

Purchased to remove some damaged motorbike exhaust manifold studs, worked better than I expected, all 8 studs came out without issue despite two having been sheared off short.I had already tried a draper expert universal one, that would not grip the short sheared studs and put a side load on the other studs such that I gave up with its use. It is fine for larger studs.

It will loosen the grip when pressure is not applied, just hold the socket when rotating the ratchet back or a quarter turn to grip every ratchet.

Used these to remove & replace the studs on my '79 Triumph Bonneville. Some were very tight, but these extractors removed them without slipping and left no damage to the studs. As it is best to hold the stud low down to reduce bending if very tight, long studs may require a 21mm spanner to fit on the extractor. I have now successfully used these on several studs both metric and imperial sizes.

Total waste of money..bought these to remove a broken exhaust stud ..they tighten onto the stud but fall to bits when you try to turn the stud ..the rollers fall out and inners just bend..look good quality on outside but cheap material used for the roller holders..Really disappointing product. I would give zero stars if it would let me..tried adding a pic but wouldn’t upload

They did the job well enough i did have 2 stubborn studs that didnt budge with fire anf lots of fluid and these are the studs that this kit slipped on the rest of the studs twisted out easily with these wish it did have instructions just to say oh this is how they work but hey ho

Used to get some seized exhaust stud off - worked perfectly when other tools failed.It did strip the threading off one of the bolts though and I had to get a mechanic who coildnt get it either so drilled it out and placed a heli coil in.

Please note these extractors only work if the stud is in reasonable condition, the stud I attempted to remove was slightly damaged ie, rounded and the extractor would not lock on, so I have wasted my money and will have to purchase another more flexible type.

Bought this set in hope of removing two snapped exhaust studs on my maxi scooter.After several attempts with various tools I wasn't convinced these would work! How wrong was I!!! 8mm studs extracted with ease! These things grip very well to what was a very sheared stud! Saved me a small fortune in garage repairs I bet! Little beauties! Highly recommended for any tool kit!
