Fantastic, sturdy, lightweight, space saving device that exceeded my expectations. Excellent!
Very impressive item. I bought it to hold my sun brolly at my caravan. It was during the scorching heat and the ground was rock hard and it dug in with ease and was as efficient as the large heavy brolly holder I use at home, only better because its portable and light to carry. So easy that I could twist it out and move it to different areas and also worked fantastic in the sand when we went to the beach.Adjustable to pole size so fits securely.100% better than the water/ sand filled holders and easier to move about than the metal ones. Light to take on holiday or to the beach.Fantastic value for money and a most ingenious and effective brolly holder. Can't fault it so thought it deserved a review.

Sturdy, easy to install, fantastic value.
Perfect for intended purpose, holding a tall wooden pole with bird feeders on it. Screws firmly into the lawn, clamps the pole securely. Been looking for something like this for ages, and this is absolutely ideal, at a great price. Can see many other uses too. However, very disappointed to see the price jump from £7.75 to £8.87 {within 24 hours) when I thought of ordering another - is this to offset the Prime membership I have just started trialling? You decide.

I thought that this would not fit our umbrella at first. There were no instructions with it. But its a lovely piece of kit - solid and well thought out. The top unscrews to secure the umbrella - you need to play around with it first though to find out how it works. Shame there are no instructions.

Absolutely brilliant piece of equipment!
Based on the super reviews on here, we purchased this to put our sun umbrella in, in our garden. We couldn’t find a base for the umbrella that we liked and this contraption is much cheaper! It is an excellently designed, sturdy, fantastic product and we used it so much during the summer. Easy to use, and has the versatility of being able to place your umbrella wherever you are in the garden (where there is grass or soil to sink it into). Really pleased with this and have recommended it to friends and family.

Really great and very easy to use.
First impressions were that it was LARGE! Used it to hold a Portabrella in the grass whilst watching my son play sport. So easy to insert into the ground and then remove at the end of the match. I normally use a Sportbrella (which is also great) but wanted something specifically for a sun umbrella. It held the umbrella very well indeed. Even my husband was impressed. Very good value for money. Very happy with my purchase. I rarely write reviews and a product has to be really good for me to take the time to write a review.

Handle broke!
Worked reasonably well for securing a corner of a sun sail, but one of the handles for screwing it into the ground broke within a couple of months, which was frustrating!

Brilliant alternative to concreting-in posts and poles
I found these little things absolutely amazing! They're plastic, so won't rust. They're sturdy when in any ground. They are adaptable, so can hold poles of different diameters. They're a bright primary-coloured in nature, and will stick out, but I can accept that. The ease of insertion is light years ahead of what I've done before with a rotary washing line / pole thing - which involved excavating a quite large, rather deep, hole, using various tools including a long masonry drill bit attached to a power drill, mixing up concrete, putting everything in the hole, using a level to ensure it's all right, then leaving it and hoping it all goes off well. This is a game-changer... none of that effort is required and the end result is only gonna be marginally less stable... I mean, once it's deep in the ground it's not going anywhere! All you do is press it down gently and start to screw it in... it gets progressively harder to turn until at the bottom it's very difficult, but you know it's fixed in properly then... then unwind the top a bit, slide your pole in and tighten it up. Job done. I bought 4. Oh, there's also a horizontal slot under the cap, where you could attach a line for a tent or tarpaulin guy-line.

VERY TOUGH
Does the job for sure - just a bit bulky and heavy to carry to beach.
