does this make all the brownies "edge" brownies? as in, do all four sides of the brownie come out crunchy and delicious?

The brownies come out with firmer sides but not quite as crunch and delicious as the ones at the outer sides of the pan...

Does this pan have a bottom in the main pan? Thank you.

It sure does. There is a bottom to the main pan, and also a bottom to the separating thing-a-mah-jig. You just pull the whole thing out and you have perfect brownies. I bought a second one because I liked the first one so much.

On mine the batter would leak under the lift out portion.

Is this only for baking?

Baking only. I’m not happy with the brownie slicer it’s very flimsy.
