Review: Great for burns, scalds and sunburn - Great size to have around the house for burns and scalds- keep one in my handbag all the time for the grand kids too when out and about as you never know what a waiter or waitress is going to drop on you these days as they have no skills to keep hot liquids away from children- also good for suburn.
Review: Amazing product! Never did I think I would have to use them the way I did yesterday!! - Bought these in 2020, but never did I imagine I would have to use them the way I did yesterday!! I never usually write reviews but this product just saved a mans face from burning hot black oil after a small explosion yesterday! I was able to apply 3 of these to the mans face immediately. Drs in a&e and the burns specialists this morning kept telling him that the quick actions of getting these applied to his face has ultimately saved him from sever injuries. Honestly don’t care some people find these abit expensive, in my eyes these are worth every penny! & everyone should keep a packet in their first aid box at home!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How long will they keep in first aid box?**
A: The date on mine which I recently bought say April 2026.

**Q: Are they wet on top? Do they need to be used with gauze or other type dressings too? Do they stay put or do they move?**
A: They should be loosely covered by a gauze bandage to keep them in place. They feel slimy rather than wet. They really do work to stem long term damage from burns.

**Q: Some folk are saying a few hours, others are saying you can get a couple of days out of them, which is it?**
A: I recommend they should be changed every day.

**Q: From description & igredients...it looks like it's just a square sponge soaked with 10% alcohol solution?**
A: The ingredients are very basic, and it is mostly water, but most importantly, it works. 
When you are in the pain that I was in after burning the whole of my palm and fingers on a saucepan, anything that gives immediate relief is truly amazing. 
My neighbour came running over to me with one of these after hearing that I needed help and that it was still very bad even after having my hand in cold water for half an hour.
The foam rubber is so cushioning and comfortable once a bandage is holding it in position and the continuing relief from the burn was wonderful.

The following morning, when I checked it, the pad had completely dried out with just the foam rubber left but fortunately Amazon soon delivered a pack for me that i had ordered the previous evening. 

100% recommended to have in the house, just in case.

I wish I could give this emergency burn dressing 10 stars, it’s so good. I naught them when my grand daughter scalded her hand. Her skin was raw and peeling. It looked dreadful. The burns were definitely 2nd degree. Just one night wearing the dressing and we were amazed to find the burns almost healed. These dressings ease the pain of burns and aid healing. I had expected my grand daughter to have scars, but I’m confident she won’t have now. Don’t worry about them being very wet. That’s a benefit with burns.
