Le Creuset Stoneware Heritage Butter Dish, Cerise

This butter dish is large enough to hold two regularly sized sticks of butter, side-by-side. The soft gray outside of the dish is quite pleasing and would blend with just about any kitchen decor. It is easy to remove the lid, and the loop handle at the top allows it to sit without getting butter on anything else when placed on its top. The smooth surface of the dish, inside and out makes it quite functional, and easy to clean with just a paper towel. I've not seen a comparable dish for the price, so you will surely agree that it is a great value. The lid seals well when closed, so we keep it on the countertop so the butter is soft and easily spreadable.

I love this butter dish! It fits the Kerrygold butter regular size. The butter dish looks better in person than it does in the photos. I also bought it in the Caribbean blue and I keep cheese in that one. It's pleasing to look at and it's well made, substantial but not heavy. I also like the retro look and colors.

I've always been more budget conscious and wary of "paying for the name", or what my Dad lovingly refers to as "the idiot tax", but I'll always make an exception for Le Creuset. Put simply, it's worth it. They're just quality products, and this stoneware is no exception. There's a reason people argue over these as inheritance.This butter dish is easy to clean, either hand wash or dishwasher. It holds two US sized sticks of butter comfortably, closing properly which other dishes I've owned have struggled with. The weight of the lid is enough to create a good seal. The listing mentions it's microwave safe, but I've never had occasion to test it.The color of this is as pictured and matches our decor well.

This is a great butter keeper. Great quality. Nice color, expensive but you are paying for the brand so worth it. Hard to clean up thats because you are cleaning butter. Keeps the butter at a nice softness.

It’s the perfect butter dish when your brand new refridgerator doesn’t have a butter shelf!! Odd right! So I bought this Le Creuset grey ombre butter dish with a lid. I love it!! I keep it refrigerated but the butter isn’t very hard when I’m about to use it and that’s a plus when my granddaughters want Bread and butter!! It’s very sturdy and has a small handle on the lid for easier access. Le Creuset never disappoints!!

I wanted a certain size and look and this did the job. It’s perfect and the color options are great. Very happy with mine.

I'm writing a review because didn't see any photos with the white butter dish or any showing if it fits the Kerry gold block butter stick, which is does!! So happy I went with this one. The other larger le creuset butter dish just seemed to be too expensive for a butter dish ($50). This one is more demure, less bulky looking, and of course fits the larger butter stick. Super happy with this. Rated 4/5 stars because it doesn't seem more sturdy than any other ceramic butter dish, but I am otherwise happy.
