Indulge: Delicious Little Desserts That Keep Life Real Sweet

I felt compelled to write a review for this cookbook after finally baking our first recipe from the book last night. A little background: I was watching David V. on QVC one Sunday morning and Kathy came on with her cookbook preorder. Everything on the display looked delicious, and I think David did his "happy dance" after each item he sampled (running joke in my house!) But it was after seeing the PB&J's made with cake instead of bread that sent me over the edge and got me to order! I ended up coming over to Amazon and preordering as I had a credit and Prime, so I thought what could it hurt.Now, I know nothing about the RHONJ, and I had never heard of Kathy before seeing her cookbook on QVC. I am not a fan of hers nor am I a hater of hers. So this is probably as unbiased a review is going to get!Every single recipe in this book sounds absolutely amazing! And the pictures show this as well (I just wish there was a picture of every recipe!) My first must-try's were the PB&J Wonder Cakewiches, Pistachio & Apricot Mezzelune, and Apple Crumblekins. We finally got around to making one last night. And the winner was the Apple Crumblekins, namely because they seemed the most easy to make. And let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS!!!!! Seriously, so, so good. My fiancé did the baking and said it was pretty easy to make. We used 6 ounce ramekins instead of the called-four 3 ouncers, as that is was we had on hand and it was the perfect amount. We added a little scoop of butter pecan ice cream to the side. Man oh man it was heaven! I have another serving heating in the oven as I write.I do have to say, a lot of the recipes do seem more intermediate and require some special tools if wanted (she does give tips for substitutes). Many of the recipes call for "basics" recipes like pastry dough, buttercream, etc, in the instructions, kind of like recipe Inception. I can't wait to try more, and will edit my review if my thoughts/experience change after making more recipes. I haven't gotten around to reading anything other than the recipes in the book.

I have been waiting for a cookbook from Kathy and was so happy to find she had published one. I was a little disappointed that she didn't have many of the traditional Italian recipes (like canoli) that I have seen her bake on the show. Anyway, I like the book but would like for her to come out with another, more traditional "grandma would make." I love Kathy and her whole family, lovely children, and Rich is a hoot!

Easy to make and delicious recipes. I was disappointed that the cannoli recipe was not in the book. I would have liked more pictures too.

This is coming from my wife, she says"I enjoy the recipies and whats in the book sound great. However, there should be more pictures of the finished products. As said, we eat with our eyes first. It may help to add more of a variety as well, I mean how many treats do I need that contain figs( albeit I love them) I do appreciate the effort Kathy puts into her products and the love she has for baking. One BIG problem...where is the cannoli recipe and where can we buy the kits😊"

Kathy where are the cannoli's? it says page 45 and 90 but those pages have hot sweet buns and the other is a cream recipe not a cannoli cream. PLEASE RESPOND. I BOUGHT THE BOOK FOR THE CANNOLI RECIPE.

Good recipes and great instructions, delicious!Enjoyed the stories that go along with the recipe and how family is a huge factor in the making of this book

I expected more pictures on the recipes, but the recipes are good

Love Kathy on H Wives but the book just needs more pictures as many recipes are quite confusing. The book itself is good

brought as a xmas gift as my sibling is obessed with the series on tv but know she would love it xx
