They do exactly as expected but are a thing of a time that has gone.
These are exactly what you would expect. I am a bit of a traditionalist and so thought that lighting the dumpy three wick candles we have on our dining room table, those in wall sconces, pillar candles and lantern lights as well as modern tea lights and votive candles could be lit easily, using a taper, rather than the common gas lighter used these days. Nostalgia played upon my thoughts it seems as these long thin candles do exactly what is expected of them but drip candle-wax from room to room as you light each Candle. They blow out easily in the wind or even a slight breeze. As a reminder of the past they are still wonderful and if you like these things, as I do, then they are well worth a purchase. It you do not then go to your pound shop and buy a pack of six lighters for £1.00. There will be no dribbled wax on your floors there will be little worry about the wind unless you wish to barbecue in the highlands of Scotland. Apparently the scything wind helps with cooking pork and lamb. Who Knew?

Thin functional tapers, net weight less than 100g
Work fine for use in church and being thin (less than 3mm), don't jam in the brass tube of the taper holder. However the Amazon description is wrong as there are meant to be 55 tapers in the packet (I only got 54) mine weighed 98g including the box.

Not good value for moneyArrived quickly and packaged well but item inside was not new as described .. could see the box had been opened and sealed

Reliable supplier of a tradition product
I would use this company again but not the product. The 55 tapers in this box are only 3mm thick which is much thinner and less effective than I recall tapers being. Maybe they've downsized like popular brands of chocolate bars! But their diminutive size makes them fragile and less fit for purpose and with a tiny flame.

They need to be non-drip.
They drip easily - so as I move with taper to light candles, the taper wax drips on surfaces and in the floor.

Cheap and there are loads of them!
These do the job but they are very thin. However, they work and there are loads of them so I can’t complain!

Better than a long match these candle lighting tapers are great. Arrived quickly and reasonably priced

these slim long tapers are just right to light up at the back of oven to avoid accidents as well as other hard to reach places
