I bought this to pick up plastic parts but it wonโt pick them up, I donโt understand why I guess this one is broken or something I set it on my metal work bench and it stiuck, I donโt get it?

good to use to collect metal fragments in oil pan
Have a Champion 201285 generator...have bought 3 diff magnetic oil dipsticks for it NOT M18-2.5 threads, I know that much...this tool should be useful to collect metal shavings in oil pan....still searching for correct thread size for the 201285 generator.
