Marcy Pro Deluxe Smith Cage Home Gym System for Weight Training SM-7553

I'm very happy with this home gym. I placed it in my 3rd car garage and my teen aged sons love me. But this was for their old man! But I digress. The gym was a process to assemble. it took a couple of days and I highly recommend a Makita style power drill to connect all the bolts. Makes it much easier. The instructions were pretty good but there were about 5 places in the instructions that could have benefited from a call out to pay attention to the orientation of the part. Several times, I would get to a later step and the illustrations for the later step made it clear that I had installed the earlier part in the wrong orientation. I was amazed at how many parts were in this gym. It consisted of about 6 boxes on a pallet. The only problem I had, and continue to have, is they included the wrong 3 bolts for the bench (bolts that hold the red catches that allow the bench to go flat or on an incline). I contacted support and they sent 3 new bolts but they were also the wrong size (and color). The included bolts were too thick to fit through the holes. The 2nd set fit but were too short to use the required washers and bolt (couldn't get the bolt attached). Not a big deal but this thing wasn't cheap so it would be nice to have the correct parts!

cons: partially my own fault i guess, first step which is the back floor piece that the plates sit in. mine is 180º the wrong way. I did not know this till the machine was fully assembled and I tried inserted the dividers. due to the fact this is clearly my own fault I would not say it is there fault. so when you get yours please remember this cause fixing this is a decision I decided was just not happening. the uprights have bolts coming up from the bottom which being I never put one together before this is probably normal but I did this mostly by myself so seriously just pay attention carefully it is my fault.pros: damn solid machine and has many features. looking for weights or plates for it now. The leg press attaches to the weighted bar that is part of the machine it is not difficult to attach either pretty easy and uses 2 retaining screws to secure it safely to the bar. I do not have a lot of room where I could put this but I was happy to know it had the leg press as that is something I cared about while looking.just so you know: it does not come with weights, I knew that and it was a primary reason why I bought this machine. It does not come with a 7' free weight bar either. That I did not realize but I am ok with that as afterwards I read and realized I got confused and thought it did. There is a 7' weighted bar on the machine that is bolted into the machine itself so if not having the free weight bar itself is no big deal than ok atleast you now know that. I am getting a bar with my weight plates and oddly enough it is cheaper to get the bar and plates together. So in all honesty I am relieved I will not have 2 lol.It gets 2 thumbs up from me so far. And my cons are not really on the machine more my own mistakes or just not understanding correctly. it was alot to absorb while comparing lol.

This is a great Smith machine/cage system for home gyms! Very sturdy, and tons of different exercises you can do. It's a bit challenging to assemble if you're doing it on your own, without any help (which Marcy does not recommend). Once assembled, though, you'll be impressed. Well worth the price.Be aware that it's delivered in six very heavy boxes. You'll need help to carry them inside your house. Also, it's quite tall when assembled, so make sure you measure your ceiling height and account for any light fixtures as well.

Can do just about everything on here. Extremely versatile and easy to use and adjust.

This home gym is sturdy and allows many exercises to be done whether you're doing a overall workout or isolating a group of muscles.Movements of parts are smooth.Make sure this fits in your garage etc; It fits is mine but misses the rafters by two inches.Be prepared to spend two days or more assembling it and make it easy on yourself; have a ratchet set and adjustable wrench handy or you'll go crazy trying to build it with the provided tools.A second person is strongly recommended.

The media could not be loaded. First day of using the bench the knob housing broke completely off! Rack to add weights sticks even after applying lubricants. Other side works well.

on step 1, the holes don't line up. certainly needs a drill.

This machine is perfect if you are tired of waiting for machine at gyms but still want a full body workout. They left nothing out. The worst part of this machine was BUILDING IT. the instructions do not have words,only a picture that’s very small to see so you better pay close attention to the detail in the picture so you don’t end up taking part back off to flip them around! None of the parts are labeled like the picture so your having to find and match the exact piece. But when it’s all finished it’s a very nice full body all purpose gym. I’d recommend it to anyone that not a body builder to use. It does require 2 people to build fyi. You will enjoy it as me and my boys do
