I bought this to have it as a third monitor on my desk which is linked to my personal computer. It is on the same arm stand as my dual monitor mount and works well. It is actually more sturdy than the dual arms which tend to slide down the stand pole.

This is like many other monitor arms. The difference here is you can attach it to many round poles. I had it attached to a floor stand pole to move my Samsung S9 Ultra 14.6" tablet. It tipped too easily, but no fault on the arm. It has a tension screw that can be loosened, but not enough for a tablet to easily weigh the arm to move down. You really have to pull by the vesa plate (top) to move it down, but up is very easy. It does have plastic covers to lead wires along it and hide for a cleaner look. My only real complaint is the clamp that attaches to the pole. It has two bolts and nuts which could take a long time to wrench down if you dont have a drill or ratcheting wrench to tighting it. I'd adjust it little by little on each side so you dont wind up with one side tightened than the other. I wish it had offered a 1/4th thread for other clamps meant for tablets and phones.

The pole mounting brackets are plastic. It’s not bad as long as your monitor is less than 10lb.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love this monitor arm. I had a very specific use case and it fit perfectly. Mounted to an overhead camera rig on my streaming station, so I can move it in and out of the work area as needed. Pay close attention to the diameter of the pole on which it will be mounted. Too small and it will be unstable and wobbly.

So far it fits and works great. No sag or slip.
