Can these be used with 26ga outdoor cat7 cable?

Dear Customer, This RJ45 CAT7 pass through connector can be used with 23AWG, wire OD (including the insulation) from 1.35mm-1.45mm. Because AWG is the diameter of the copper core which not include insulation, but for RJ45 plugs wire OD has a greater impact. If the wire OD is too thin, the wire will slide inside the load bar, making it impossible to crimp properly, and if the wire OD is too thick, the wire will not be inserted into the load bar. So please check your cable's wire OD. If your wire OD is from 1.35mm(0.053 inch) to 1.45mm(0.057 inch) then this RJ45 plug is suitable for your network cable. Not sure what you're poking at here. To my understanding, CAT 6A is CAT6A and CAT 7 is CAT 7. I'm not aware of any spec changes (Gen 1/2) once they were released.

Looking for a similar connector for AWG 26 cable. Is there a good brand to buy?

This specific connector is for CAT 7 cabling (which is 22 or 23 AWG), so this connector is clearly not it. 26 AWG maps to older CAT 4 connectors, so I would look for a well rated CAT 4 connector it you're looking to use 26 AWG cabling. But be prepared to deal with the corresponding data speed limitation (16 Mbps). Great by 1992 standards, but a snooze fest in today's world.

Compared with the standard CAT7 ethernet cable, flat CAT7 cable with thinner core wire (wire OD, core wire including the insulation). This CAT6A/CAT7 connector can be used with 23AWG, wire OD (including the insulation) from 1.35mm(0.053 inches)-1.45mm(0.057 inches). CAT7 flat internet network cable can't meet the requirement of 1.35mm(0.053 inches)-1.45mm(0.057 inches). If the wire OD is too thin, it will slide inside the load bar, making it impossible to crimp correctly. So CAT7 flat cable can't be used with this RJ45 Pass through connector. Great quality. One wish

Great cable. Super protected from interference. Getting gig speeds no problem. Only thing I wish they did is put the colored stripes on the white wires. I bought this with the intention of doing multiple runs so I need to crimp new rj45 plugs on my end. When stripping the wire all the white conductors were just white, there were no colored identifiers on them

Poor quality control. Terrible success rate

I've gone through 14 of these connectors to get 4 successful crimps. #3 and #6 keep jumping to the side. I bought name brand connectors and 100% success rate. 23ga Cat6 solid core cable used. My time is worth more than putting up with this fail rate.

Poor QA, Cheap connectors

Pros - When all pins are present after crimping, they work well, are sturdy, and consistent in testing. the boot is nice and the plastic on it allows for easy use thats soft on the fingers compared to other boots. Cons - They were quite the pain to get the pinout of the cabling put in right. then, i terminated about 24 different ends and out of those, 5 of them were missing a pin. had to sacrifce a connector to get these fixed. 3 stars. almost 1 if i kept finding missing pins.

Very easy to use

Making Cat5 connections is a breeze with this tool. I'm able to cut and clamp the connector with out the colored wires showing. I could get it pretty close with the last tool I bought, but this one makes it so easy. And it takes me half the time now too.

Erleichtert das Crimpen enorm

"Ausgangslage: Beim Ausbau der Netzwerktechnik im Haus mussten einige Patchkabel selbst konfektioniert werden. Normale RJ45-Stecker sind bei dicken Cat7-Adern oft ein grausames Gefummel. Erster Eindruck: Die Stecker (metallgeschirmt) machen einen wertigen Eindruck. Der Clou ist das Pass-Through-Design, bei dem man die Adern komplett vorne durchschieben kann. Montage: Das Einfädeln geht durch die mitgelieferte Einfädelhilfe ganz ordentlich. Dadurch, dass die Adern vorne rausschauen, kann man die Farbcodierung (A oder B) vor dem endgültigen Crimpen nochmal 100%ig überprüfen. Mit der passenden Crimpzange wird dann verpresst und bündig abgeschnitten. Keine Fehlerquote mehr! Pro/Contra: (+) Man sieht sofort, ob die Belegung stimmt (+) Gute Schirmung (-) Man braucht zwingend eine Pass-Through Crimpzange. Fazit: Wer schon mal fluchend vor falsch aufgelegten Kabeln saß, wird diese Stecker lieben. Zeit- und Nervenschoner."
