An amazing MC romance!
I loved this book so much!Nova and Lila were the sweetest, hottest, best thing ever and I could not get enough of them! Being back with the entire Fallen Men family was just everything I was missing and I loved seeing them all in Entrance again so much! Getting to see Zeus and his family again, ugh I just love them all so much. Lila is just 5 when she meets Nova, her new neighborās son. He becomes fast friends with her older brother, being 12 years older than her, but becomes a sort of protector to young Lila. His family ends up taking in both Lila and her older brother when their lives get out of control, becoming their foster family. Since Nova is so much older than Lila they barely ever live in the same house and donāt get together as more until sheās 23 and heās 35. And the angst and caretaking and love between these 2 is just everything! I loved how he tattooed her for years, calls her āFlower Childā, and just all the shared history between them. I love Lilaās friendship with Harleigh Rose over the years and Zeus caring and protecting her too. This whole family is just so special.āBecause damn him for loving me like that, so much, but platonically. Always platonically. How could a girl ever be expected to move on from a man who would do anything to keep her safe? He planted flowers all over my body, inside the cage of my ribs, in the fertile soil of my heart, yet he never noticed how they bloomed just for him.ā

Holy hell...
**I own everything this author has ever written in ebook format. I am slowly going to start adding the actual paperbacks. There have been some good ones over the years, but perhaps none that have tickled my fancy like these ones do. I love that each book ties in with the characters or storyline.I have known since I first discovered this author in the Sin Trilogy that she was special. There is just something so dang poetic about the way that she crafts a sentence. It is mesmerizing. I could have highlighted at least half of this book with the way that she used words to create an image. There is a cadence and tone to her writing that feeds my soul. I read to have those special moments where I can laugh, or even cry as I fall into the depths of a book and have it feel real. I pursued a degree in it so I could live and breathe books because there is a magic to them. This book is proof of that.Within the span of minutes of starting this book, I fell in love with Lila and a boy named Jonathon. Never once did I think anything of this friendship or the close bond that they shared as anything that could be misconstrued. Maybe, because I could relate to Lila because I, too, as a child dreamt to be anything other than what I was born into. I liked being able to have a personal connection with Lila throughout the book. However, even those that don't have the same reason, will still connect to this amazing child and later woman. She embodies so many aspects of womanhood and I have to be honest here, I had a girl crush on her. That is because the author gave her the most beautiful of souls and hearts.Nova... this sweet, amazing, beautiful, dirty-talking (good lord does he take dirty talking to a WHOLE new level), complicated man. I might be biased, because I always love this author's leading men, but Nova just almost beat my King (/gasp) which pains me to say. However, I choose to believe it is just because this author has tapped in on being able to create a man that is vulnerable, alpha, and delicious all at the same time while simultaneously making them dreamy.Even though with this age gap and the circumstances of their "family' I still have to say that it is not taboo in my book. Perhaps it is because of the vulnerability and power of how she goes about making an unrequited or forbidden love requited and accepted. Love is love and she writes it beautifully. I found myself having a maelstrom of emotions ranging from literal teary eyes to anger, sadness, and finally those of love, happiness, and excitement. That is a gift and the reason that this author is a master storyteller. Definitely, in my top books of 2020 and one, that I highly recommend.

Who are these Fallen Men and where do I get one?
I LOVED this book!!! I have been a sucker for each of the Fallen Men books, and Inked In Lies is no exception.Lila broke my heart from the beginning. She is such a tough little girl who unconditionally loves her big brother and then the older boy next door who becomes her pseudo big brother. When all hell breaks loose and she loses both, they do everything in their power to get her back.Lilaās love for Dane, then Jonathon is so pure and she knows no matter what that they will always be there. Lilaās love for Nova is passionate and unending and unfiltered and still knowing that he will always be there when she needs him, even if itās not exactly the way she wants him to.There were so many times I had to stop and reread certain parts of this book just to make sure I read them correctly. Or because it made my heart pitter-patter that much harder. I love a good alpha male and Nova is certainly that kinda man. But I also love a kick ass strong female and Lila definitely is.This story took many twists and turns and followed along with the other Fallen Men books. King still holds the main spot in my heart, but Nova sure tried hard to knock him down. This, like the entire Fallen Men series, will be a book that I can read again and again.
