Water Pump Condenser Unit for Indesit Tumble Dryers

Our Indesit IDC8T3 tumble dryer started making what can only be described as a cross between a screech and a grating noise, not all the time, but after about 6-7 minutes of use. I was going to buy a new dryer until I saw how much they'd gone up since we bought this one. So I did a bit of research and learned on Youtube that this is probably down to the condenser water pump which pumps the water from the sump to the emptying tank. I proved this by running the machine with the pump disconnected and sure enough, the noise was gone. Obviously, it had to have a pump, so I bought this and it fits perfectly. It was also very easy to fit. Basically disconnect 2 blade-type connectors, remove the old pump (4 lugs), replace with the new pump, reconnect the 2 connectors, put the cover back on. No tools required at all. Machine is running perfectly again now. Saved me nigh on 300 quid.

Just arrived fitted in mins if you know how. It's a full replacement for the pump and the bottom white section in older models mine is a hotpoint tchl sounds different but looks like a potentially better part. 4 small tabs hold the full old unit in place I used a flat head to pry them a bit then pushed it off and popped this one in original one lasted 3 years of moderate to heavy use. And for the proce it's saved me 100s. The float looked wobbly too but I used some super glue on that and it's back to normal

My indesit tumble dryer started to make a really horrid noise and could work out why. After checking online I found that it was the water pump. I checked to see how much it would Cost to have an engineer repair it and they were talking about over a hundred pounds for Labour alone. I then saw this and thought for the great price I would try and change it myself. I looked online and followed the video and in just half an hour I was back up and running. I have used my dryer several times and it’s quiet as a mouse. I’m so happy I decided to do this myself. For anyone worried it was really easy to do following the online video and saved me so much money.
