Esschert's Design C2058 Striped Cooking Yarn, Red/White Checkered, 100 Meters, Cotton

Good and strong. My use is for cooking but it is quite decorative as well. I did a test for colourfastness. Soaked the string in a boiling water for an hour. No red tinge in the water and string looked just as vibrant. Tried to squeeze out the dye afterwards and couldn't get a trace of it out. So I'm very pleased. Probably is a lifetime supply for me unless I start using it for other things!

Bought this to truss up the turkey at Christmas prior to cooking. Very strong and did the job perfectly. Good value as well.

The name says it all, red and white striped string (and it is) it is exactly as described and does the job as you would want.

Love this string my mum always used it for our Christmas puddings

The media could not be loaded.  I ordered this string yesterday and it arrived today! 😂I was expecting to wait months for it because of the reviews I read just before ordering.This string is great. It's quite strong. I can't snap it. It's thick enough for my requirements - trussing poultry and tying meat.I would definitely buy again if needed and I'm highly recommending it.

I am very happy with this string. I thought it would be too thick, which made me consider another product. It turned out to be just the right thickness that I needed. It was easy to use to truss a chicken -- thick enough such that the string did not break while tightening the string, but not too thick that it would have been difficult to tie. The dye did not bleed into the chicken, which I had feared it would., during roasting. It's a very long string, and I reckon it will take me years before I use all of it.
