Are there cut out for the volume/power switches on top (surface pro 9) or are they on the side (surface pro 8)?

I have a Pro X. The sides are completely open. There is a cutout in the top for switches for the 9. There is also a cuout top center back for the camera.

Does the cover fold back when writing on screen with stylus?

I use the cover with the keyboard attached. I don't have problems with the cover "folding back" when using the pen or touch.
