Small. Mobile. Hot. Heats up quickly. As powerful as a 110 volt. Will never use anything else.

Super convenient and functional!
This is a fantastic concept from Craftsman! I love the fact you can solder anywhere anytime without needing a wall outlet. Very cool! Temperature control is decent but uses a dial with no numbers so temp is a bit of a guestimation. On/off/hot light indicators is very good! Blinks red until the iron is cool. Solid red when heating and solid green when at temperature. Downside is how much battery it uses to heat the iron and keep it hot. Prepping everything beforehand to limit the time the iron is idle is strongly recommended. 4.0AH or more battery is necessary.

This is AWESOME!
I've had several soldering irons/guns over the years, but never one as portable as this! battery powered and super handy. I bough this soldering iron to do a job on my utility trailer. Normally, I would have to lug an extension cord out and make a whole production, but with the Craftsman cordless soldering iron, I installed a and went on with the job. The iron is easy to use and is very comfortable. It heated up quickly and did the job.

Surprisingly battery efficient
Might not get quite as hot as a 110V model, but does well enough with up to 14ga wire. I thought it would zap the battery quickly, but I was pleasantly surprised that I was wrong
