5-hour ENERGY Living Essentials 5 Hour Extra Strength Supplements, Grape, 12Count

I'm not an avid energy drink taker. In fact, I find a lot of the other drinks that claim to give you energy poor excuses for foul tasting beverages. Red Bull and Monster, to me, taste horrible and on top of that do very little for me when it comes to the energy departments. So, after a grueling night with the baby, a newborn, I saw one of these at the local gas station and decided to give it a try. I will say, while not a homerun when it comes to taste, it wasnt bad. That could be, though, because there isnt that much liquid to swallow, so the taste is a one time deal unlike with larger energy drinks. The grape was not horrible. Nor my preferred drink taste, but tolerable. I will say this, their advertisements were pretty dead on. It provided me an alert feeling with little to no jitters. I was more awake and felt better suited for the day than I would have felt had I not taken the shot. Also, I didnt feel a big crash when it wore off, more like a cooling of my body. I will say this, I do not take one of these every day. It is about a once every week or two thing for me, depending on how the baby slept. So, that is probably why it worked so well for me. As with anything, if you take too much of it, your body will get used to it, and it will have a different effect. Also, I am not a huge soda drinker, so caffeine in any form will usually give me a jolt, but unlike with soft drinks or other caffeinated beverages, this lasted a good while and didnt spike me in any direction. Highly recommend.

The flavors were improved not too long ago and I have to say it's noticably better. I am not a morning person, but I'm also not a coffee drinker. This works. Price is cheaper than a latte at Starbucks. And buying your own 12 pack is better than getting them one at a time at the 7-11.

I have been using 5-hour energy for years. Working nights is always hard, but 5-hour energy always makes it easier. I'm much more alert. No crash at all. I have no problems going to sleep when I get home. It makes a big difference for me. I always keep it in the house.

I want to give this product 5 stars, but I can't. I ordered a 12 pack and the box came with 11. Unfortunately I can't prove this, but since the box wasn't tampered with, I can only assume it was a packaging error. Also, be careful which quantity you buy. The 12 count box is a better value than the 24 count box (as in price per bottle), so getting two 12 counts is more cost effective than getting a single 24 count box. Other than that, great value compared to buying individual bottles at a store.
