American Ultra [DVD]

Jesse Eissenberg stars in this awesome movie about a pot smoking, cartoon drawing loser in a small town in the USA. His girlfriend is also well into the dreaded weed.All is not as it seems though with these two as you will discover if you watch this action, comedy, drama. I dont want to say too much & spoil your enjoyment.I saw it on TV, bought the DVD & have now gone for the Blu-ray version as the movie is that good (in my humble opinion)If I had to rate the film out of 10 I would give it 20 !!!!!

Shame really as the trailer looked really slick but for me it was average and I felt I wasted my time watching it and money purchasing it. The acting was ok...ish(but they have done so much better in previous films), story poor, disjointed and predictable. Nothing special about the action, I felt it was trying to emulate so many other A+ action movies but just failed to deliver. Wish I could get a refund!

very very very good fast paced witty action movie with a hint of poking fun at itself, it is nice to see jesse eisenberg playing a character other than nerdy/geek, highly recommend as it is entertaining with good special effects(blowing things up etc..) and good dialogue which is not always the case in the action genre, i absolutely loved it

This is billed as an action comedy, and it lives up to the action part, I supposed, but it isn't funny. I didn't laugh out loud once, just smiled. Both main actors do a good job, but there just is not enough for them to work with.

Loved every minute of this film - great characters, enough humour to keep it enjoyable while at the same time don't detract from the films action.Brilliant soundtrack too. Great film - not perfect I guess and I suppose some people will find faults with it, however I definitely rate this as one to watch and give it a solid 5 *****

Very enjoyable, lighthearted thriller with just enough comedy to keep it rolling between action sequences. It’s probably CIA-are-nasty plot 23b but it’s good enough for you to want to watch it again a few months later.

If you liked the Sam Rockwell film Mr Right you will like this .Really enjoyed it a good film with an excellent cast.I would recommend it.I purchased it as a download, so just to say the vision and the sound was very good.

A good entertaining film, with Jesse Eisenberg's quirky style of acting, suited to playing a sleeper 'stoner' CIA operative, and Stewart as his "girlfriend" , good supporting cast too.

Stattdessen gibt es eine schwache schauspielerische Leistung von Jesse Eisenberg, neben dem eine emotionslose (mit dem dauergelangtweilten Gesichtsausdruck von Twilight) Kristen Stewart rumsteht.Der Trailer versprach eine actiongeladene Komödie, doch das Endergebnis lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig

It was a fun movie that did what a movie is meant to do. It entertained me. The action was fun and just enough over the top to be exciting. The comedy was natural and not forced. I actually gave a damn about the main characters.I did, however, predict the major plot points and the big "twists", so the movie lost points for that.Still some good entertainment as all of the performances were great and John Leguizamo chewed the scenery and stole every scene he was in.So...worth the price of admission.

Vor vielen Jahren sah ich einen Trailer von diesem Film und seitdem wollte ich den Film sehen.Der Trailer zeigte alle guten Stellen im Film, der Rest ist schlecht, langweilig oder unlogisch.Es sind so viele fremdschämverdächtige Stellen im Film, ich kann keine Zahl nennen.Schaut Euch den Trailer bei Youtube an, dann habt Ihr die besten Stellen des Film gesehen und Ihr erspart Euch den peinlichen Rest.

In the beginning, I didn't think much of the movie, I bought it because the critic was good though. But as the film goes on, it's more and more captivating and after I always watch the extra features and specially in this case, i would suggest that it is not a must, but a goohd explanation to the movie as it makes the public realize that it is in fact a 'parody' of a super agent movie or a funny James Bond. In fact the actor is anything but a hero, and as the film continues, we discover how he has been 'created' to have super power and super agent training. It'a also a comedy with some funny moments, bloody scenes, heart and emotional moments. I would recommend this movie to the people with a sense of humor and not minding bloody scenes...My husband hated it but he is very conservative in his tastes and not at all the kind of open mind person who would enjoy this movie.

This was far better than I expected. This movie has a little bit of everything and plenty of creativity. The trailers looked average and I expected very little. Much to my surprise, this isn't your average stoner flick. What really makes the movie is the two leads. Jessie Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart. They play off one another beautifully and have terrific chemistry. You end up caring about them and what they are going through. There are enough explosions and fight scenes to satisfy action fans out there. It's a bit of a shame that this didn't make much noise in theaters because it deserved to. Not everyone will get the satisfaction I got out of it, but I recommend it highly.

Wir waren überrascht von der zwar flachen aber gut umgesetzten Story. Ein Action-Splatter Movie vom Feinsten. Kirsten Stewart, die ich normal nicht leiden kann, glänzt an der Seite von Jesse Eisenberg. Nice!

il film mi è piaciuto molto....non originalissimo ma ricco di azione e humor....quel tanto che basta per far divertire e intrattenere per una serata senza pensieri.....da gustare tutta di un fiato....un film pulp consigliatissimo a tutti...Buona visione

El producto el si está bien, entrega rápida y en buen estado.La película es muy divertida aunque con humor un poco ácido que quizá no le guste a todo el mundo.

Ich liebe Actionfilme, die sich selbst nicht zu ernst nehmen und ich bewundere Herrn Eisenberg schon seit längerem.. Gute, kurzweilige Unterhaltung mit Spannung, Romantik, viel Blut und vor allen Humor - wer sowas mag, kommt hier auf seine Kosten!

Sehr cooler Film!!!Action!Den Film selbst rezensiere ich hier aber nicht - das hat Amazon (oder einschlägige Film-Seiten im Netz) bzw. haben diverse weitere Käufer schon getan :-)

Dieser Film ist absolut klasse, die DVD kam ohne Beschädigungen an und der Film wurde sofort angeschaut. Die CD hatte keinerlei Kratzer oder anderes. Sehr zufrieden.

Jesse Eisenberg is amazing as the Ninja Stoner.He makes great comics and has a"killer job" as a clerk at a convenience store.Kristen Stewart is his "soulmate" and stoner buddy who works at a bounty hunters office.Together they get in some trouble that you just have to see to believe.

Echt cooler Film Witzig und Spannend!!!!🙂🙂🙂Gute Schauspieler und echt Spaß.Wird im laufe des Films echt immer spannender!Gutes Ende👍

Por alguna razon no encontraba esta pelicula en ninguna parte y por fin se me hizo verla. Esta muy divertida de principio a fin, bueno quiza se cae un poco al final.
