Good Quality Reliable Item
Quality item, I bought a cheaper hub which was faulty so returned and spent a bit more on this. I have 2 external backup USB drives connected going to a KVM and then a Mac and PC - it works flawlessly. Can also charge my phone with this. Trusted brand good build quality don't waste time and money on cheap ones get this ๐

Finally, a USB Hub That Doesn't Disconnect โ Fast, Stable, and High-Capacity
Iโve gone through several cheap, unpowered USB hubs that would constantly "drop" my external hard drives. Switching to the TP-Link UH700 has completely solved that problem. Because it has its own dedicated power supply, it handles multiple high-drain devices simultaneously without breaking a sweat. Key Performance Details: Exceptional Stability: I currently have three external hard drives, a webcam, and a keyboard receiver plugged in. Unlike bus-powered hubs, there is zero lag or random disconnections. The 12V power adapter ensures everything gets the voltage it needs. Data Transfer Speeds: The USB 3.0 performance is legitimate. I moved a 5GB 1080p video file in under a minute. It truly hits that "10x faster" mark compared to my old USB 2.0 setup. Charging Capability: The 1.5A fast-charging ports are a great bonus. Itโs powerful enough to charge my smartphone or tablet at a decent speed while I work, which saves me from cluttering my wall sockets with extra plugs. Build & Design: It has a sleek, premium finish. I particularly like the dim white LED indicators next to each port; they are bright enough to show a connection but dim enough that they aren't distracting in a dark room. Pros: Powered Hub Advantage: Can run power-heavy peripherals (like mechanical keyboards or HDDs) that unpowered hubs can't. Plug and Play: Worked instantly on my Windows and Mac machines with no driver installation required. Safe & Reliable: Features built-in surge protection, which gives me peace of mind when connecting expensive gear. Cons: Footprint: Because it requires an external power brick, itโs more of a "desktop" solution than a portable one. If you need something for a laptop bag, this might be a bit bulky. The Verdict: The TP-Link UH700 is the gold standard for anyone needing to expand their workstation. Itโs reliable, fast, and most importantly, it stays connected. If youโre tired of your computer "losing" your USB devices mid-task, this is the upgrade you need.

Excellent, quality product that works really well.
Excellent quality product. Bought as an external HDD needed more power than my Surface Pro could provide. Plugged the HDD and the external CD/DVD drive into the fast ports and bingo. Was able to transfer 10 CDs full of photos and videos onto the external hard drive to then play on the TVs around the house. Great, we'll designed product, worth the extra compared to some of the cheaper versions. Neat size and well made. Recommend.

Very useful
Using this with a mix of drives, keyboard, mouse and a webcam and it has handled everything fine. All seven ports are easy to reach and it does not feel cheap or flimsy. Speeds are good for an external hub and I have not had any random disconnects. The separate power supply means it can handle bus powered hard drives without drama. If you are short on USB ports and want something simple and reliable, this is a solid choice

Reliable, good value, good looking powered USB3 hub.
I have several of these as they are the best value and most reliable powered USB3 hubs I've found to date. They can also be powered by the upstream USB host but this limits the power available for downstream devices of course. The only slight niggle with them is because of the design, they are quite long compared to some hubs that orient the USB sockets perpendiclar to the case. On the other hand, this means the case is quite slim & even bulky USB dongle-type devices have plenty of room and they wall-mount nicely using Command Strips or the like. Each port has a status LED showing whether there is an active USB connection which can be useful for troubleshooting. There is also an illumiated soft power button which, when mains powered, can disconnect all the downstream devices at once although I struggle to think of a use case for that. Thankfully, this remembers its state over power cycling so can be ignored if not needed. Topologically speaking, the hardware actually consists of one four-port hub connected to one of the ports on a second four-port hub which then connects to the upstream host. Therefore devices connected to the rightmost three ports are one hop closer to the host than those on the other four so it's probably better to connect high throughput devices like USB3 drives or DVB-S/T/C devices to the three and less critical devices like keyboards, mice & printers to the other four.

This a quality product and works very well.
This a quality product and works very well. Three plus points: 1. This is a "power optional" powered hub, meaning it will work without being plugged into the mains, but will only then run devices like mice and keyboards that don't require much power. 2. The power switch is by default in the on position. Many powered USB hubs are the opposite, but you need to it to be on by default if it is running an external hard drive. 2. It has US FCC approval for radio interference. As i am using it in an amateur radio station this is very important to me, and it is indeed silent.

At last, a reliable powered USB hub!
I've bought about half a dozen USB 3.0 hubs since the standard came out and this is the first that actually works reliably to combine devices and use only a single port on the machine you are plugging into. Some weren't powered, so had unreliable connections - some were but either failed to work with everything I plugged in or didn't power all ports properly or caused issues with putting laptops and PCs into sleep mode. Not this one - easy to set up and I can at last plug in three or more USB items into the hub and get a reliable, fast connection using just one USB port Charging-wise, it can easily charge my Galaxy S21 5G and is powering my keyboard / mouse / Sony Walkman and webcam as I type this. It's a shame it has taken me over fifteen years to finally find this device.

Check it works carefully.
Although this is a well made, and in the face of it, built by a well known manufacturer my newly built PC refused to acknowledge its existence. No USB device of any generation was recognised by the PC whether the hub was powered or not. When put between a known good device and the PC, that device then vanished. Take the hub out of circuit and it reappeared. I can only assume I got a bad one. Returned for refund.
