Terrific little amp that adds volume, clarity and bass to your vanilla headphone sound. When paired with a somewhat higher quality pair of headphones, in my case the SHP6500 from Philips, the sound quality is really good without breaking the bank. Comes with the amp, stick on rubber feet and a USB A to USB C cable for power. Becomes it's own audio out on my PC, and the difference is clearly "audible".

This is a handy high quality usbc headphone amp and I enjoy the sound very much when used within certain limits. SKIP the Fiio usb2/3.0 driver and you will be much happier, it either wastes the first hour of your session not working at all, or it'll work for 20 minutes then crash. I record everything at 48kHz, therefore can use this in usb1.0 mode and Windows will detect it and play 24bit48k or good old CD 16bit44.1k without any driver from Fiio. Would have been 5 stars if not for that crummy driver wasting numerous hours.

I'm using this with a pair of ath m50x. My personal laptop is a M1 macbook pro and I saw how much a dac/amplifier makes when listening to music. Then I started a new job and they gave me a Dell and I was disappointed with the sound quality from the internal DAC when compared to my Mac.I decided to buy this DAC trying to get something similar to the macbook pro when I'm working and I'm blown away. It's even way better than the DAC in my Macbook. If you're thinking about this DAC just get it, it's worth it.

Easy to setup, doesn't take up much space, and sounds great. I recommend setting the volume to max on the amp and then adjusting the volume on your device for best clarity and overall sound.

nice and small form factor amp. use with with my laptop, and it works like a charm. Never disappointed with Fiio.

The build quality is top notch. Portable and sleek. Probably very good for driving headphones up to 80Ohm, but sadly not powerful enough for 250Ohm and up.

The upside of open-back studio headphones is that they are amazingly accurate. The downside is that they are hard to drive since they need a lot of power. The NEW version of the Fiio K3 DAC / Headphone Amp hasn't run out of headroom yet and the sound is just as good as what my professional studio amps and speakers can do.I have the K3 connected to my Mac through a CalDigit hub using a Fiio USB-C cable (not included - what!?) and am using it with Final Cut Pro and DSP Quattro.Along with the actual DAC/Amp, you get a USB-C to USB-A cable (why not a USB-C to USB-C?
