Trailgator Flip Up Stabilisers, Black, One size

One of the best things i have brought for a bike, makes trips out easy and fun, we use in conjunction with a tailgater and allows us to unhook the bike and turn the stabilisers back on and away my son rides alone in safe zones

They do the job great but I guess it's tricky to make them exactly fit all bikes. They do not locate properly on our child's frame so rely on the screw fitting holding them vertically up or down so we have to check the tightness ever few miles. Gator tow bar works well.

It is a "good" quality product, But this big black hand screws (the large knob) does not tights sufficiently the wheels. I have to retight them every couple of kilometers. My son was very anxious about his new wheel' and now his is disappointed. He says: " Mom I cannot trust these wheels cause make me fall down", and this is the most important to me

The Stabilsers advertise for up to 20" bikes, so I bought them as I like the flip up idea. The stabilisers are not easy to fit but once on are easy to flip or just take off completely.My sons bike is 20" and for a 20" bike the stabiliser wheels are 2" from the ground on either side which means there is a rather large lean for a beginner rider to adjust to before they can ride the bike. My son was never comfortable while on the bike as the lean is too far and so the stabilisers have not left him with the confidence to ride without falling off.For 18" and below the stabilisers will probably work well but definitely not on 20" bikes!

The product itself is well made and will be great IF it fits your bike!The problem is that if you don't have a lot of visible thread sticking out beyond the outer nut on the rear axle then I strongly doubt that you'll be able to fit this on your bike. Traditional stabilisers generally require you to remove the outer nut, fit two relatively thing bits of metal onto the axle then put the nut back on - rarely a problem, if ever. This design however basically requires the same but then needs enough thread to be left over so as to attach the tightening knob on to. I would estimate that you'll need at least 3/4 inch of thread protruding from each of the outer nuts on the rear axle for this solution to work.Regrettably, I've had to return these and look for something else but as always, Amazon's returns process makes this easy.

Bought these to use with the Trailgator. Only used briefly but have helped my son learn without stabilisers.
