The ball of the foot bones grind . When I wake up , I have to get into the Oofos slide or I’m limping. There may be other reasons the arch support is not helping the other persons foot …maybe that their arch isn’t needing the lift , it’s too much , or too little even! The arch doesn’t point your entire weight onto the ball , it lifts the middle and sinks the back which counters the ball pressure, however , is it possible to lean wrong, or if you need to size up or down to correct ? Pronated or non pronated stance , everything plays into how you put pressure . For me , the Oofos have saved my life at home. If these are the same footbed (which they should be ) then I am confident they will the same magic for me at work . I’ll put in a review comparing the two if there is a noticeable difference. Again, the other comment is not wrong . They’re right because this is their experience . I cannot say anything other than what I’ve experienced , and oofos cannot be matched. People say “like clouds” about things I find to be stiff and unpleasant . If there is any footbed that can take that comparison, it is the Oofos. More than Telic . Telic energy is a better flip flop for support … not sliding off the footbed like on a grassy hill which Oofos will do on their flip flops … the arch support lifts the stress off the ball of the foot. If these clogs do not have the same outline as the slides and hurt , I’ll make mention **Q: Are they slip resistant?** A: My experience is different than some. I find them very resistance to slipping. However, I'm mostly walking outside when the shoes are wet and have no problem with wet grass, steps, concrete, ladders, walking on wet stall mats, climbing over logs, climbing onto the tractor and other equipment. I wear these ever day nearly all day, inside and outside, feeding horses, cleaning up after animals. The only problem I've had is they are not as tough as shoes and boots so I wear them out quicker. But they are so good at eliminating my foot pain I'll buy new oofos instead of switching to to another shoe. **Q: Are the soles of these the same material as the rest of the shoe like the flip flops or is there more of a non-slip material there?** A: Same material all over, from what I can tell. I disagree with the answer "they get very slippery when wet. It doesn’t matter if it’s inside or outside they are slippery. Anyone who says otherwise is barely wearing them." -- I've been wearing this style in black or brown for years, all day, winter and summer, dry or wet days, miles every day. I don't find them slippery except when walking in thin slippery mud on my asphalt driveway. But I don't wear them inside on slick, wet flooring - that might be slippery, don't know. Wearing them on wet concrete is not slippery (for me). **Q: do they run true to size?** A: No. I'm a solid 8.5 womens. The 8s were WAY too small; the 9s are huge on me. I kept the 9s since my foot easily fits in them, but will need much thicker socks to make them work. And, I've no doubt that if I were a 9.5, the 9s would fit me just fine... Strange jump in size between 8 and 9. But they are CRAZY COMFORTABLE on my post surgical feet. Work on feet 12 hours long, have pre- plantar fasciitiis, Normal New balance, Skechers, Tofflen and Crocs do not support well, and after 6-7 hours I have ache in my feet to the point it is hard to step on. These are molded high in arch area and basically god sent.
