First off, I had to use different hardware then this came with. The hardware this came with wouldn't tighten on my bike and this product kept sliding down, plus, this set didn't come with any nuts to fully tighten it. Maybe my bike was too old? (it's from 1998),and maybe it had a different post size? I had to go through all the bolts and nuts I had to see which ones worked. Once I found what I needed, the setup was simple. This time, the product was tight on the post and didn't slip down.The 1 thing I dislike about this is, if my dog sees something, she can move this bar to go behind my bike, and I don't like that. I can't make this any tighter then I have it, yet, it turns with a little pull or push. Other then that, the leash this comes with is a nice length. If she pulls to the side, it doesn't yank my bike with her due to the spring and it works well. I love that I don't need to use the leash anymore to go biking, but, I always bring a regular leash with me bc she can still get a little unruly if she sees another dog. I can't control her with this product and I need to put a regular leash on her instead.Overall, I do recommend this.

It’s taking my dog and I a bit to get used to it, but if you go slow and learn together it’s easy. I also bought a neon safety vest for my dogs safety. It’s fun!

I really enjoy being able to take my dog for a run while I’m riding my bike. He is an Australian cattle dog who needs lots of exercise. I was pedaling as fast as I could, and he was running with a big smile on his face. We had a blast! My only complaint is the connection to the bike is bigger than the bar my seat sits on so it can move. Also my dog almost killed me when he bumped into my front tire on accident and then started attacking my tire b/c he thought the tire hit him lol.

Liked it initially but after one month of use, found several issues with quality and design.The internal spring no longer operates and leash stays extended.The lead is fraying exactly at the exit point to the bar. This appears to be due to the design of having a cord go at a sharp angle and rub against the exit point if the bar. Likely this would tear in my next bike ride or two so glad I caught it.All in all, wish I went for a higher quality product.

Easy to mount but does not stay in side position as it rotates easily no matter how hard you tighten it. Might work better on a frame that is oval instead of round.

I put it on my crossbar (seat to wheel). Just had to make room for my leg to pedal. The retractable leash is just right so my dog can't go far, yet it gives a little. So far it works just like it's supposes to.

Although it says I am a vine member this was a paid for purchase!This product keeps coming up in different ads, different prices, different reviews. However, all have the same photo shopped pictures. About 6 times until it broke at the week point.The fitting/adapter between the black tube and disconnect broke after light use with Border Collie!Can see this will break on all of them with not much force.The idea however is much better than some of the other devices they have. Be sure to put some thought of how it will work and take the photo shopped pictures to not be how it works in real life!If you are new to walking with your dog on a bike. It takes some practice but the very first rules is to keep your dog in site next to you. Do not allow moving around in front or behind you. Last thing you what is for them to get caught up in a wheel, run them over, crash, etc. This device is not bad in that regard, it just is not made well with one common point of failure.

I'm so happy I got this and thr prize is unbeatable. I was using a leash first and wrapping it around my seat. Now I have him right next to me. My fur buddy bike runner. Works great.
