Review: Remove the film on the lens, SUPER THROWY!!! - The Thrunite Catapult absolutely rocks the night! I like how tight the beam they have gone with is on this. The 26800 cell is incredible. I've never used one, and wow, what a pleasure! It is heavy and it adds bulk, but it is perfect for this light. I also really like the included belt carrying case. The fact that I can charge my phone off of it is really cool. It's probably not something that I would really use as I own a few power banks, but if I ever need it, I know that I have it. It's fairly heavy, but a perfect duty light. 1.2 million candela is nothing to play with. I really like how long it is able to sustain turbo. It is able to sustain turbo in my experience for upwards of three minutes at the least. Very nice. I also like their new series of switches but I feel like they could be improved. It's just slightly squishy (Unlike the ThruNite Defender's button, which is quite clicky.) I also find this Smushy Switch on the TC20 V3. The versatility is fairly limited as the beam is extremely small up in close quarters. But it is excellent for pointing things out or for search and rescue. It's also probably very good in mountains or flatland. It's almost like a laser beam, but it's a flashlight. I measure that the LED sits about two and a half inches deep in the lens. The Smooth Lens was a perfect choice for this light. After flying in the air, I'm almost afraid that A helicopter or a plane will report me LOL. It really is that bright. It's awesome! The half mile throw, or .65 mile throw, I forget exactly what it was, is totally believable to me on turbo or in low fog. I like the included wrist strap, it's very nice. One night I had tried using it for general purposes but it was just too throwy. I ended up using the TC20 V3 instead. This is one light that I do wish it had ramping instead of fixed modes. Or the ability to choose, But I understand complicated firmware can create confusion for customers, Perhaps a limited run or something like that with a custom firmware would be interesting for enthusiasts As long as ThruNite stays true to their good pricing. Feels pretty durable and I think the weakest thing on it would have to be the lens and USB C (But you can always pull the battery out and just charge that with the USB-C as well. I think you might lose reverse charging to the phone, however) or if you have an external charger that can accommodate such a large cell, unfortunately mine can't You could charge it externally there, and probably at a much faster rate that built in IC. I do wish that they made it more obvious to customers that they pre-apply a film to the lens that needs to be removed. I didn't notice until about day three. I said, wait, what is this?I pulled it off and then I was like oh, that's why the lens looks so foggy. It got much more throwy after that. I also wish that there was a way to make it less throwy. I also wish that they had some way to diffuse the light so that it was less throwy and more floody. Perhaps in a future model.
Review: Excellent price for value - Sweet light! It's my first enthusiast light and man it's frikkin bright! The firefly mode is cool too for when you first wake up or are reading something at night, it cuts the glare. The TURBO mode is soooo cool! I'm getting the Convoy L7 next, I like the lights made for throw. This is a great light. It's definitely jacket carry but can fit in some cargo shorts and pants also. Not too big, not edc but it could be if needed. Not big and bulky, does get hot in turbo but not to the point where you can't handle it

## Questions & Answers

**Q: It's comes with a charger right?**
A: It comes with a USB-C charging cable, but not the little transformer (charger). I think they assume we already have one or more around the house for phones and other gadgets.
This is a great flashlight. I really like mine.

**Q: Which country is the manufacturer?**
A: China like most others!

**Q: Can i charge it at a voltage of 220v in eu?**
A: I’m sure you can, you just need a 220 to usb adaptor to plug the usb cable into

**Q: Can I leave it plugged into the charger all the time, and the internal charger handles this?

Or should I unplug it once it is fully charged?**
A: You can leave it plugged in, but it will result in your battery losing capacity over time. With Lithium-Ion batteries they do need to be worked out regularly. If you are wanting the light to be fully charged when you go to use it, these batteries hold a charge very well (especially the 26650 batteries used in this light).
Here’s how I use mine - I fully charge my flashlight and keep it on my end table. I take my dog outside at night and use the light to scan the yard for critters every night. I wait about 2 weeks and charge the battery to the top. When I put it in the charger it still has 70-75% charge remaining. About 4-6 times a year I run the battery down to 20% before recharging. This allows the battery to make full use of it’s chemistry.
Ever had or know someone that had a laptop computer that was kept plugged in all the time? After a year or two they go out and try to run it on battery and it only runs 15-20 minutes before it dies. Same phenomenon.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Everything.
*by S***W on March 3, 2023*

Had the light for about 6 weeks or so. The good: I love it. Smaller than I thought it would be but it's perfect size. Still will fit into your pocket if needed. Super bright light. Exceeded my expectations and the beam tight but not too tight. When they said it'll shine 1,000 meters they mean it. Because it WILL. Battery life if fair on Turbo. If your using it for extended sessions I would recommend getting an extra battery. Not knocking the battery life at all. Have to remember this is a high put put light. I don't use any other mode than turbo but they seem great. Accidentally blinded my self with the strobe once so I don't recommend doing that twice. Came with a case, short wrist lanyard, extra o-rings and a charging cable. The bad: Only thing I don't like and it may just be me. But I do not like the on and off button. Obviously if you need to use a flash light than it's more than likely it's because you can't see anything or what your doing. So if you need to turn the light on it may take a few seconds before you locate the on and off button. So if you need to turn it on and off very quickly without it already being in your hand then your going to fumble with it for a few seconds before finding it. It needs to be bigger or stick out further. Maybe a bubble like push button like on mag lights would be good. Even better imo is just to put a button on the back of it on the battery cap. Then could be easy and super fast to find in the dark. Other than that it's a great light. I have recommended this light to my friends because is so good and I would buy again. Actually going to buy a flood light of equal power.
