I buy the sugar free and I find they work well when my throat gets scratchy. I think Fisherman's Friend is the best cough drop on the market.

The spearmint are actually pretty good, but in my opinion, not as therapeutic as the pure menthol which absolutely rock. I toured with these in my pocket all of the world 30 years ago and recently started using them again. The spearman is good, but as the song says, “ain’t nothing like the real thing baby”. I would give them an eight out of 10 with a menthols being 10.
