Great peice of kit. The 2.5 and 1.5 strippers are particularly good. The cable shears will chop meter tails with no effort. The slim nose pliers are great for looping over twin and earth and also getting the earth into metal boxes. A little expensive but you get what you pay for. Saves loads of weight in the pouch when second fixing. For domestic second fix they are great.

Had this pliers for 3 years now and it's carried me through many sites but in the last 3 months or so the retaining screw that holds it together has started coming loose which means the blades knock into each other and the cuts are bad, I tried re tightening the screw but it either over tightens and makes it hard to use or under tightens and the issue remains.Would liked to see this tool last longer for the price and the moderate use I've put it through.

Yes, there are cheaper pliers out there. However they won't come close to the quality and handiness of these. Cable strippers make it extremely hard to get it wrong. The handles are very ergonomic and comfortable to hold whilst being VDE rated. Would definitely recommend.

Let’s be clear: there are plenty of cheaper tools that are similar. But the differences are what make the difference, here. I buy lots of tools. I do a lot of electrical work in my professional and home life. And I wish I’d bought these (expensive) pliers years ago! Why? Firstly, they’re sharp. Really, really sharp: which makes cutting insulation and wire absolutely fine. For context, I’ve cut through 16mm2 cable with ease. Disturbing ease! It makes such light work of insulation that it turns an otherwise fiddly job into one which is a delight.This isn’t a “perfect” tool, though: perhaps just the way I use it, but if you’re not careful you could catch a flap of skin - so be careful! But other than that one incredibly minor ‘flaw’ (unfair to call it that), then it’s worth every penny.Feels sturdy, I’m sure time will tell.I’m not sponsored by Knipex.

Not used them much yet but they are really nice quality the tolerances & finishing on the cutter & the faces are really good, but should be at this price point.

I was well impressed when I tried these out. I thought these would be another piece of expensive plyers from Knipex. When I tried these out, I was well impressed. Stripping cable, cutting it and general use of this item was such ease, I would buy another pair of these as they are quality that's to be expected from Knipex but they are good. Bit wired to use because I normally use side cutters but I would deffently recommend these and I would be buying another just in case I loose the one pair I have.
