Review of: Vinut Coconut Water Drink, 16.57 Fl Oz (Pack of 12) Original (Original with Pulp) After leaving a can (16.57 ounces) of the coconut water drink in the fridge over night (the product is best when cooled/chilled), I took my first sip and was pleased with the taste. The flavor of coconut came through pretty clearly in the drink; not overly heavy of a taste but more than enough to let me know exactly what I was drinking. The overall taste of the drink was smooth, easy to drink and sweet enough so that I didn’t feel any nned to add more sweetener to the liquid. At first, I didn’t get any pulp in my glass of coconut water (I had the ‘original with pulp version) but I soon discovered that I needed to shake the can in order to get the pulp to come to the surface of the can so I could pour some into my glass. As it turns out, the coconut pulp is just what I expected; a little chewy, a little sweet and with a slight taste of coconut. So, for me, the Vinut Coconut Water drink is good just as a cold drink, a great alternative to colas or heavier soft drinks, and I do intended to use the coconut water to make some coconut infused rice in the near future and I’m really looking forward to that.

I have had coconut water before, and it's always best chilled. I have a friend who has a lot of problem with her digestion, and she swears by coconut water to allow her digestion to settle. I don't have that problem, but I find it refreshing and a great drink for hydration, especially after completing a fast-paced hike with my energetic cairn terrier, or when I'm sitting in my office in the afternoon with the heat is on, which often makes me thirsty due to the dry heat. This coconut water doesn't have any added sugars, but it does have sugar from the coconut. (The only ingredient is coconut.) I love fresh coconut and prefer it not to be overly sweet like your typical candy bar - this drink is not overly sweet, just naturally sweet. My husband doesn't care for it, but like other things, it's a personal preference. If you're a bit adventurous and love raw fresh coconut, you'll want to try it - it's worth the extra hydration that it provides.
