OTOOLWORLD Smelting Lab Graphite Crucible with Cover Lab Supply 20MM X 20MM

These are the perfect size for my use. Mine are 20mm diameter as specified. I have found that when casting a single ring, larger crucibles make for a harder pour. These seemed to hold roughly 14 grams of sterling silver casting grain at most. My ring designs needed about 9 grams, so it was perfect and allowed very precise pouring. I'd imagine these are meant to be used more so work in a lab (melting various things together in small quantities), but work well for casting too. The best part about these is the lid, which helps prevent oxidation (along with some borax) when melting the metal in the kiln (I don't have access to a reduced oxygen, or inert gas setup).However, I think anything who considers these should measure out and understand what they're buying... these are tiny and even my 1 inch (23.5 mm) diameter grip tongs wouldn't fit these, I ended up bending some existing tongs for the task. If you're doing casting and doing anything larger than small single ring casts, I'd recommend getting one of their other larger crucibles of the same design.

Graphite is a little brittle and you won't get more than 8 uses from it but it's cheap and works well.

It looked way bigger n sounded bigger than what it really was

The product looks adorable small, however, it wasn't useful for what I needed for. I would of kept it because its cute and tiny but the lid is easy falls off and fragile that's not good for a tiny product.

I received the crucible with no cover, simple as that

good quality I also dropped it on the concrete floor and it did not break

Works well as advertised!
