Excellent tool. Allows slabs up to 60cm 2’x2’ to be dropped into position without disturbing sand or cement bed beneath. Build quality is excellent and should last for years. Reasonable price but delivery charge at over £16 was considered to be high. Delivery took less time than scheduled date but no text received to say it was arriving. Taken in by Neighbours.

This is an excellent good quality tool . It made life far easier than I had expected. This does require some strength, but if you can lift a paving slab by hand you will find this easy to use.

This equipment was purchased in view of Health and Safety concerns over long term effects on operators laying 600 cm slabs. It may be slightly slower to use than manually lowering slabs onto the base material but speed is not the object of the exercise and using the two handed lift is certainly less arduous than single handed operation. With a bit of practice the operatives can achieve a good rate of laying with less dangers of manual or muscoskeltal injuries

This is great I have used it with a gantry and pulleys to lay 855 x 570 Indian stone flags it will also fit 3 x 2 concrete flags.

Took the back ache out of lifting slabs and allows me to lift slabs out of an existing patio without damaging them or disrupting surrounding slabs.

Paving slabs are still heavy, but makes them easier to install and butt up tight or lift them when closely jointed

Wir haben mit Plattenheber 60x60x3 Granitfliesen auf Mittelbett verlegt. Bei einem Gewicht von ca. 35kg pro Platte ist das ohne Werkzeug fast nicht zu machen. Damit die Fugen nicht zu Breit werden, habe ich noch die dünneren Haltebacken mitbestellt. Diese sind zwar nur bis 30kg gedacht, haben bei mir aber trotz des etwas höheren Gewichts tadellos funktioniert. Da der Plattenheber sehr robust gefertigt ist, sollte er auch gut wieder als gebraucht zu verkaufen sein.

Habe 8 cm dicke Granitplatten verlegt mit unterschiedlichen Längen 30,45,50,55,60 cm. Dabei musste ich feststellen, dass die großen mit mindestens 45 cm kein Problem machten, sondern nur die kleinen. Vorraussetzung war jedoch immer, dass die Kante Staubfrei und die Krallen richtig eingestellt warn. War der Abstand der Krallen zu knapp oder zu weit, rutschte der Heber sofort ab. Das verändern der Krallen war zwar etwas aufwendiger, durch das Schraubsysthem. Aber der Heber tat was er tun soll. Die zu hebende Platte halten. Den Punkt Abzug gibt es deshalb, weil mir für schwere Platten unter 45 cm es nicht gelungen ist den Heber so einzustellen, dass ich die Platte auch heben kann ohne das er abrutscht.
