Good wood for carving
The wood seems nice but kinda hard to carve so I soak them in baby oil to loosen them up a little

Great carving blocks
Really good for carving. I am new at carving and probably not qualified to give a review but I'm having a blast carving these blocks. I can't cut deep and clean like the youtube tutorials but at the moment, I blame my novice skills.

Good quality
Got these to make small mushrooms and gnomes. The wood is consistent, no knots and easy to carve. I would buy again.

Warning
I'm only into the first piece of wood, but so far it is crap. The grain tears out no matter which direction of blade travel. If this first piece being terrible is just a fluke, I will return and update. For now I rate it 1 star. As stated, if the quality improved after the first piece, I would change my review. Quality has improved. If, at the end of this bundle I change my thoughts again, I will be back with another review.

Great for price. If you carve in bulk, they work well.
Can’t beat the price for the quantity and quickness of delivery. I tried this brand for the first time to begin my Christmas side gig of selling Christmas Ornaments for the holidays. I’ll say that the majority of the blocks are quality. There are a few in every box that are very Knotty and have stringy grain. If your knives are nice and sharp, and you have some experience you can work with them. I ordered again, and will again after that.

Does the trick
Purchased this set for a Boy Scout whittling activity to make the 5-minute owl. The wood is lightweight and soft enough, though sharp tools are key. The pieces in the set were all usable quality, and I am pleased with the value for what they were intended for. Will purchase again when needed.
