Good little set

I expect you are like me, that you have purchased this little kit, not as your professional source of income working on microelectronics items, but as a one-off changing a battery on your TomTom or another device. Well, I was expecting something along the lines of Christmas Cracker quality, and even that would have done...barely! But the quality is a lot better. It's not a professional kit, but what do you expect for a few pounds! Well worth the expense. This with the battery allowed me to change the TomTom battery and save buying another. So buy this well worth pack if you are thinking about it.

The mini screwdrivers work very well, and are great value but the tip of the plastic lever disintegrated as soon as I tried to use it to pry open my Tomtom. Ended up using the mini flat head screwdriver to open the rest of the device, and that worked quite well. So, basically, get this if you need small screwdrivers - there's a good range and they are good quality, but you might need to seek out a metal lever thingy elsewhere if your device is difficult to open.

Mini torx/screwdrivers were fine to use and did the job well. However the coloured (shown as green, mine was blue) plastic case opener/prising tool was of useless quality, very easily broken plastic. Credit type cards can be cut up to use in a similar way if you get let down by the 'tool' as I did. However you can't expect too much for the price and free delivery!

Product arrived in two working days,well packed,and well cheap,in good condition,along with the TomTom battery it was ordered with.The kit did just what it was supposed to,although as has been said by other customers, a magnetised version would play better on this particular job.Still, at the price,what do you expect,gold plated? Anyone contemplating changing a Sat-Nav battery ought to have been magnetising their own kit as needed since they were knee-high.Oh, and incidentally, the delivery included an unasked-for free screen protector.There's good service for you!This might have been a mistake, or them unloading surplus product in a similar way to the "free" prawn-crackers you get with a Chinese take-away or the bakers dozen. Either way it's much appreciated,thanks and keep it up lads!

Great little kit.Successfully used the baby-torx to disassemble my old TomTom, and phone (OSF/ZTE Blade), and the midget cross/flat heads to take apart a couple of other items that have those annoying screwed-shut battery compartments, and taking apart people's glasses for comedy purposes* tip for the top; Don't lose the screws or they tend to get upset with you.. ;)For lightweight use like this they're utterly ideal, and let's be honest, if you need heavy-duty tools for such small screws then you're doing something wrong.As the pic by JOYU shows, they come packed in one of those little anti-static bags that hard drives used to come in back in the days when the public were trusted to build their own computers.Don't bother using the turquoise plastic spreader-thing, it's too blunt to pry apart anything worth a damn, just go to the kitchen & fetch a thin bladed knife.One or two of the drivers has a magnetised head, but don't rely on it, just be a bit careful & if you need to, work on a piece of white paper to avoid losing the screws.5-stars, as for the price you can't possibly ask for any more.

I bought this toolkit together with a replacement battery for my Tom Tom Go Live 1000 and it was the right think to do as I had to use one of the mini star screw drivers and the blue (or green) plastic tool in order to open the device after un-screwing the two screws at the bottom of it.Very good value for money as it only cost me around £1.50. I would recommend it for the Go Live 1000 or similar Tom Toms. Also I think these mini screwdrivers could be useful for those tiny screws on reading glasses, watches, etc.

Bought this to open my tomtom to replace the battery. The quality of the screwdrivers is very good. The screws were difficult to undo and I couldn't have done it without these. I would have given them 5 stars had they been a bit longer because they would have been easier to use but they did what I wanted and the tips are not damaged even after slipping a bit. For a couple of quid they are well worth the the money.
