These pellets burn efficiently with minimal ash, cooking and cleanup process is hassle-free
Cookinpellets Premium 100% Hickory BBQ Smoker Pellets have become my go-to choice for barbecue, and I can see why so many people rate them highly. Each time I use them, I’m impressed by the deep, natural hickory flavour they add to my food. it really brings out the best in brisket, ribs, and poultry. I’ve found these pellets burn efficiently with minimal ash, making both the cooking and cleanup process hassle-free. The pellets are consistent in size and quality, which keeps my smoker running smoothly and makes a noticeable difference compared to cheaper brands I’ve tried before. I keep coming back to these because the smoke is clean, the flavour is outstanding, and the results speak for themselves. For anyone serious about getting that classic BBQ taste, I’d definitely recommend Cookinpellets Premium 100% Hickory they deliver every time and really elevate whatever I’m cooking.

Perfect for Traeger smoker!
Love these for my Traeger grill. Work perfectly add a nice bit of flavour, especially when on super smoke! I think they are the best value for money pellets you can get and i seem to get a good burn time (no different from the Traeger own brand) from them, works very well!

Good value pellets.
Recently bought our first pellet smoker so can only speak as we found these pellets. I know there are reviews that say these pellets are no good for smokers but we have had no issues at all. We are using a Traeger and things are just so simple. Set to smoke and when the smoker primes and ignites, set the temperature. At temperature just cook. Seriously good and had no real issues with flavour. We will be buying these again. I gave these 4 stars because of poor packaging. The sack of pellets (heavy) was just placed into a cardboard box. When the package arrived 80% were in the pellet sack and the rest were rolling around the box.

Excellent all rounder
I have a Traeger Timberline 850 and have used many pellets over my time smoking , these are pound for pound the best , good smoke and even heat . They might produce slightly more ash than the Traeger ones but I clean out my grill after every cook so it’s not a problem for me and at half the price of other pellets I’ll put up with it . Highly Recommended A+++ This years purchase of cookingPellets are excellent as usual I wouldn’t use anything else , I cook low and slow and never had a issue with fires as in some reviews , but I clean my Traeger after every big cook , keep up the good work 👍🏼 Another years BBQ ‘n begins and the pellets preformed well 👍🏼

Ideal for Traeger Pellet smoker
These are our go to smoker pellets for our Traeger. Never had a problem with them, they give a clean burn without any oily residue and are simple to simply sweep the bottom of the traeger clean in between uses. Gives the meat and veg a nice subtle, not too overpowering flavour and I have found them to be equally great cooking a long and slow full brisket, 6 hour rubs or even just a quick chicken on a Sunday (better than an oven!) or burgers. Highly recommend.

Large bag, great value, great smoke
Good value, good smoke and great food. Currently using with a Traeger, gives a good Smokey flavour to all food. Smoke is much more consistent than when using Traeger pellets. Will buy again especially as the size of bag means I don’t have to buy as frequently. Difficult to say if they last as long or longer than Traeger pellets at the moment however looking at the bag and what’s left I would guess that they last as long and likely longer.

Yeah, these work well
I did notice some smokiness on one occasion and have to say it was pretty dense smoke. However, this was largely down to user error. If you have a good technique with good air flow, these burn hot and very well. If you get the timing right, they throw a nice flame over the pizza. I've even had flames shooting out of the chimney! The flavour is fine, as far as I can tell. I do mix with charcoal and real wood though so hard to tell. I hope the price stays down at under 1.50 per kilo. If so, I will buy again.

ASH
They leave a lot of ash compared to other brands.

Pellets you can actually taste a difference with
This review is for the CookinPellets Hickory Smoking Pellets. I'll get to them shortly but I want to give some context and advice that I think will be helpful. I'm fairly new to smoking food, having started in the summer of 2015, and my initial experiences with imparting any kind of smoke flavor in the foods I smoked were disappointing. I thought "is this what I get after investing all this time, effort and money?". After researching on various smoking forums I found 2 things to be prevalent in regards to smoke flavor; 1) generally speaking pellet grills BY THEMSELVES don't give you a lot of smoke flavor in your food, and 2) the difference in pellets from one manufacturer to another is significant in the results you get. To help with #1 I highly recommend you supplement your smoke with a smoke tube. Research it, get it and use it. It does make a difference. I burn 100% apple or cherry in my tube while the 100% CookinPellets hickory goes in the hopper. Regarding #2 - A bag if pellets that says "hickory" on them, but does not tell you that it is 100% hickory, is almost assuredly a mix of hickory and a filler wood OR flavor oils and filler wood (like alder). You have no idea if you're getting 30%, 20% or whatever % hickory. This is true with any type of wood pellet. The filler woods generally don't give you any flavor. I went through this when I first started by buying what the local store had to sell: brands like Traeger which do not list their ratios. This is why my food was a dissapointment... There are comments that Traeger uses flavor oils in their pellets but I don't know if that's true because they don't tell you what's in them. Why won't a manufacturer tell you this information? It's because they are hiding something. I went through several brands and they were severely dissapointing. I have 4 half used bags of those various brands/woods types going into the trash (cleaned up my garage yesterday) because it would be a waste of food and time to use them. While it can be difficult to do I no longer buy pellets unless the manufacturer clearly states the mix of woods in the product. No description, no sale. So that brings me to my review of the CookinPellets Hickory Smoking Pellets. I was hooked the first time I used these. You could smell the difference when the food was cooking and the taste of the food was amazing. I currently go through approximately 1 bag a month of these and will continue to do so as long as they keep up the price and product quality. They burn well and I've never had a heat or ash issue out of the norm. I only wish they offered 100% cherry and apple. In closing a little advice from a relative newbie smoker: 1) Use a pellet that tells you whats in it. I like the CookinPellets Hickory Smoking Pellets and highly recommend them, but there are a few others out there. Stay away from brands that don't specify. While there's nothing wrong with a mix of wood species (hickory w/cherry for example) they should tell you what your getting. 2) Reasearch and read the smoking forums. You'll learn a lot. 3) Use a tube smoker and experiment with other wood types than what is in your hopper.

Excellent, versatile, pellets
I bought these when I got my first smoker - Camp Chef DLX PG240. The mixture burns well and adds excellent flavours to the food. There is good moisture content to these that I haven't need to use a water pan. I look forward to trying their single wood type pellets
