Nice quality good starter would recomend
I purchased this unit with a great deal of trepidation having previously bought a similar chainsaw a couple of years ago that I had to send back as I refused to run. So I deliberately looked for models which had good reviews for starting, as this does. I am very pleased with the result. It starts and runs very easily (as small 2 stroke petrol engines go) and having used it for an hour or so on some large diameter ash logs it cuts superbly! The instructions where easy enough to follow and are much more comprehensive than many others. OK the print could be bigger but that's probably my fault for having 60 year old eyes! I was impressed by the spares pack, 4 chains and two blades, and the cover and bag are a nice touch. One word of warning: do get a good set of ear protectors as well as the rest of the PPE. I found my ears ringing even with the protectors I have so in future I will double up with plugs and over the ear protection.UPDATE: On the 2nd day of use the starter cord failed to spool back correctly and became in tangled in the mechanism. However it was a simple case of removing 4 screws to untangle it and the machine started 2nd pull.

Brilliant all rounder
As someone who has never had or used a chainsaw before I'm well impressed.was easy enough to put together and started straight away .it does the job 😊The Bottom Line… the TimberPro provides amazing quality and efficiency for what it costs. An all-rounder when it comes to wood cutting tasks or DIY, this chainsaw rises to every occasion demanded of it.

Great piece of kit and great value for money.
Did the usual research and this seemed like a decent bit of kit for the money, I have no previous experience of chainsaws but found this to be a great piece of kit? A very large conifer needed felling and about £700 for a pro to come in and do it seemed excessive. Also have a wood burning stove so decided on the diy method and do my own logs. The chainsaw was easy to assemble and started on second pull, it never failed to start with the slightest of pulls thereafter. The chain stretched a bit but regular adjustment of the bar and tensioner worked well and I was up and running in no time. Cutting 12 inch diameter sections was easy and I still have the thicker bottom bits to go but have no fears that this chainsaw will be up to the task. After the tree is down I will have enough logs for one winter when they are seasoned so might just about break even on the cost. I will be on the lookout for fallen trees shortly. A two year guarantee, next day delivery and the extra bar and 4 chains should see me get my money's worth. A great piece of kit and good value for money at £109.99 all in.Would give 5 stars but never had a chainsaw before so can't really compare.

Powerful and so far very, very reliable. I would recommend it
I was unsure of the quality of this chainsaw, I had read the reviews on the net, watched the videos on YouTube. The two year warranty mitigates any real issues with the machine. It arrived in Ireland very quickly, started first time. The chain is not the strongest I have used on a chain saw and it can stretch, but there are four of them in the package. They don't stay sharp for long either. Quick dress up with a sawchain file and off again.I have had no problems with this machine so far at all. In fact I am very impressed and will gladly recommend it to anyone who wants a chainsaw. I don't know how long it would last compared to an equivalent Husky, but at less than £100 that is 20% of the price of a branded chainsaw. It was a no-brainer purchase for me and have spent the other £450 on a long weekend holiday

Not brilliant
I had trouble, and still do in starting the chain saw. This was not helped by the starting pull rope slipping off the pulley and jamming between pulley and machine. Timberpro supplied a spare part and I am now able to start the saw, but it will not run for more than 2-3 seconds. hence there has not been much use. I did manage to cut a tree trunk up into 12 logs, but this blunted the chain. I see from other reviews that a better chain and chain guide is available with a reasonable life for £30 extra.

Don't waste money on premium chainsaws, if you are an occasional user
Good quality chainsaw, with excellent cutting ability. Starts well if you follow the correct procedure shown on YouTube, well worth £100.It's noisy so you will need ear muffs, and don't forget a face guard and chainsaw gloves.Fuel and oil to lube the chain are not provided, so order the oil with the chainsaw to avoid a delay using your new gadget.Stay safe, this product is dangerous in the wrong hands, and never use over chest height, or lower if possible..........

Rubbish
Total garbage. I can't believe the positive reviews. I've had to return it twice to the supplier as the chain was coming off in use. 2nd time they replaced the tensioner but the problem has returned. I'm not using the product as I don't feel it's safe. Micro Mantis have been poor and are now refusing to honour the warranty. This is just a cheap imitation product which I've now replaced with a Stihl.
