Hi, the spinning top is light but very sturdy. It stays in place when spinning and has been played with constantly. Well worth the money.

What age would this be suitable for?

I bought it for my grandson when he was only a few moths old- just showing him what it does. He is now 14 mths and is trying to work it himself, although he has always took an interest in it throwing it around:) good little toy, so retro:)
