The Deer Hunting Book: Short stories for young hunters

My 6yo son doesn’t love to sit and listen to books other than at bedtime , but he kept requesting I read another story from this book throughout the day! The short stories were great for both of our attention spans

Our reluctant reader likes to read informational material but hates the meaningless stories in the reading program. So I got this and immediately enjoyed the book.Binding is not sturdy in paperback, first 3 pages coming out at bottom of book. I hope it holds up.

First off, they are short stories, which are GREAT for my 12 year old son who has dyslexia and pretty severe reading comprehension problems. Secondly, they are written so well and help set a realistic setting in his mind, so he is able to actually play out the stories in his head, which he has always had trouble with. This is just an awesome, awesome book for my little hunter. I will be looking to see if this author makes other similar books.

Each story is short and sweet enough to hold one’s attention right to the end of the story and get the reader wondering about the next story

As a young hunter and avid reader, this was right up his alley. He so enjoyed it.

My 7 year really loves hunting. He just got his first deer (a doe) on youth hunt this year and he's getting a bow for Christmas.....So this book has gone over so well, it's really encouraged him to learn to read faster, technically it's for 9 and older. But it's perfect his age.I'd recommend for youth avid hunters.

lots of detail (maybe too my much for my teenage grandson who like to hunt)
