Handles Weather From All Sides, Except Back And Side
Hoping for a better weather seal with this box but as received it will not do the job. A little wind will definitely get things wet. Wanting to use this in the back of my truck or ATV to keep dust off gear, but looking at gap in the seal, no way this is resistant to dust. The box however is strong single wall material, while the lid is a stronger double wall. Hardware is strong heavy steel, but one of my latches is loose and does not pull tight causing the side gap in the picture. The back seal gap is from the box itself being out of form and the hinge not being installed correctly. With some weather stripping and some bending of the hasp, I may achieve the performance I want. So now i am trying to decide whether to keep the item or pay the $22.00 to ship back.
