An amazing resource for teens and adults!
This is a wonderfully written book that will help so many. It is evident how much time, effort and love went into it. Unfortunately the day and age that we live in the schools have stopped equipping our teens with the essential knowledge that they need to go out into the world and have the best chance at success. This book fills in the gaps so well. There is so much that we parents teach our kids about life but there are some areas that we may accidentally over look. This book is a great guide for parents to be able to help their teens as well. Thank you so much for this easy to read and digest book!

Great Reference Book
Really well structured book that will be so helpful for young people when they venture into the big wide world. This book would actually make a good addition to high school curriculum as it contains so many of the life skills that are essential in the transition to adulthood. The way the sections are constructed makes it easy to navigate to exactly the skill area required. Be good to have a book dedicated to travel and transport as these are areas that young people have cope with also. Vehicle ownership or using public transport for example.

Handy summing up of a what you need to know
I'm a mum of 3 including a pre-teen so possibly not this intended market for this book. Regardless tho, I personally found it a handy guide to sift through informative sections. I liked the way it was sectioned to encourage you to be able to hone in on the area you are tackling. I even learned some new things about food prep! Was glad it had reference to UK as well as US as items like health insurance etc differ a heap! I could see it being a handy book to refer to, whether my son when he is target age would pick up a book such as this remains to be seen. Would be good if he did though as it has tips on fitness, a bit on meditation and positive thinking which was ultimately a nice way to round off the book.

Great book for those about to leave home for the first time.
This book is packed full of some great life skills for those living on their own for the first time! It contains ideas on everything from paying rent, to recipes, to simple DIY. I left home 20+ years ago and I still picked up some tips! It’s written for both the US and UK market and at times I feel it’s a bit Americanised (faucet, store etc.) but nothing that means it doesn’t apply in the UK too. The section on health insurance details the US system as well as the NHS.Overall, a great gift for anyone leaving home, particularly if they don’t have a parent figure close-by to lend a hand.

Delightful Read
The book is very well written and would be extremely valuable to many older teens providing sound advice without being patronising! Assisting to learn life skills or even just comparables. Through and through an excellent, informative book which keeps you wanting more! Totally enjoyed the content and the way it was so easy to read. You even begin to imagine yourself as a teenager again, or perhaps just an older teen.

The Author Cares
When I picked up this book as a mom, I thought, “this author really cares”. I certainly didn’t expect to read what I did. It’s an exhaustive handbook of everything, and I mean everything to do with moving into your own place and living there successfully. You’re taught the names of different types of cooking utensils, to exercise positions with nice little illustrations- cyber security and the merits of a good sleep routine! This is perfect for a teen/young adult. I even touched up on a few areas myself!

Phenomenally written!!!
This is an excellent guide for all teenagers and young adults (including the “old” adults too!). I can’t even find the words to express how phenomenal this book is! The author went above and beyond to touch on many topics regarding “adulting”, and does so in such a extraordinary yet simple way! From breaking down the essentials in the kitchen to emotional intelligence, there are invaluable information within this gem of a book! Absolutely recommend! Brava!!!

Perfect for Anyone at Any Age!!!
I do have to say that this book really goes into details about how to live without mom and dad. It shows you all the skills you need in order to be on your own. A lot of time we love to take care of our kids, but it does have a negative effect on them when they leave the nest. This is the book to hand them to be able to do things on their own!!!!! No more phone call after phone call on how to do something. This book covers it all!!!! Well done!!!

This would have been handy after I moved out of my parents' house!
This book covers a lot of information for people new to "adulting". From cooking, making friends, taking care of your body and your home, information is presented in an informative, upbeat way. This book would make a nice gift for teens planning to move out on their own.
