TIMCO Timloc - 562x662 - Plastic Hinged Loft Access Door - 562 x 662 - White

I recently installed the TIMCO Timloc Plastic Hinged Loft Access Door, and I’m really pleased with the quality and functionality. It’s a well-designed, sturdy access panel that provides a clean and modern look for my loft entry. And it's insulated already. Very easy to fit and decent quality just one drawback. Decent quality hatch. Fitted it in an hour and that included some alterations to the hatch size. What surprised me was there was a tip provided to unlock the hatch but no pole to attach it to. Pretty stupid if you ask me. Luckily had something to fit but come on.. bit of plastic rod would do the job. Another thing noted wa it's not as white as imagined. 1 star lost due to the no opening rod!

If like me you were replacing the original plastic loft door supplied by the builders this is an excellent replacement, as per other reviewers check the size of the loft aperture before buying. This is more robust and better quality that the original I removed and I think others have been a little hard on this product. At the end of the day it is a plastic loft door that looks fine. It does nt have to bear any load or stresses - just close the aperture to the loft. The latch is simple and more effective than the old one the only fiddly bit was putting the metal hinge pins in that needed a little tap with a hammer. I took longer to fit as I initially fitted with out the door in place as was easier to get the holes / fitting without the extra weight of the door, Then simply took it off and attached door before refitting, One thing to note the internal dimensions of the hole cut out were the same as the old one . But the apron around was narrower so now I will have to paint the ceiling to cover the old paint of the ceiling but a small hardship One final thing delivery was excellent ordered it 1800hrs and it arrived lunch time next day

You have to make a hole for the hatch to fit in that is exactly the right size, which on older houses may require a bit of cutting and packing with timber as the joists won't necessarily be entirely square or of the required dimensions. Once that's done and the hole is the right length and width and round maybe at least 10cm deep, to include plasterboard on the ceiling, fitting is very easy and result looks good and works very well. You are provided with a plastic key to fit on the end of a pole, to lock and unlock the hatch from floor level, but not the pole. This probably makes sense as not everyone will be the same height or have the same height ceiling. A piece of dowel did the job well, though I did have to glue the key onto it, to stop it turning on the dowel rather than unlocking the hatch, even though the fit on the dowel was tight. Not a big problem, or alternatively one could screw the key onto the pole, with a little judicious drilling.

Item was a good price, arrived quickly and was well packaged. Easy to install and looks good. Important to note that NO OPERATING POLE is included (I assumed it would be, or how else to open?. Surely this should be mentioned in the listing?).

Easy to fit and good looking. I originally purchased a similar item from Screwfix as there is a branch less than a mile from my home - which meant it was very easy to take back for a refund! The Timloc product is better than the one from Screwfix (made by Manthorpe) which, when I opened the box, I found to be flimsy (bendy). To be fair it would probably be better once installed but I didn't try that; I put it straight back in the box and returned it. There was also a dimensional problem which I won't go into here. This Timloc item is much better. It's more expensive but, as always, you get what you pay for. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because I'm not impressed by the hinging arrangement (pins). Having said that, this also appeared better than on the other product.

I bought this to tackle a project I had been meaning to do for some time, which was to install a sliding loft ladder. Installation was very straightforward, (make sure you measure your loft opening BEFORE ordering). It certainly looks a lot better than the old wooden hatch that was there and is very lightweight, so no risk of injury should it hit you on the head! Only slight criticism is that the polystyrene was not very well glued down and even now wobbles a bit, so should it fall out, I think you just need to apply a bit more double-sided tape or use something like a glue gun to hold it. Finally, it came well-packaged in a rather large, but sturdy cardboard box. Another plus is that the packaging materials left very little that could not be recycled, so was easily disposed of.

Se ajusta a lo ofrecido, buena terminación y sin ningún problema en el montaje. Buena relación calidad precio. Bien protegido y embalado. Cumple perfectamente su función y no cuesta abrir ni cerrarlo. Desde mi punto de vista recomendable.

Produit installé chez moi, le rendu est très propre. J'ai particulièrement apprécié le fait qu'il soit livré directement avec son isolant (à coller pour qu'il ne tombe pas à l'ouverture de la trappe). Cela fait gagner du temps et assure une bonne isolation. Je recommande !

Habe ein Dachluke gesucht die nicht so groß ist aber ich noch durchkomme. Diese wurde schnell geliefert und konnte ohne Probleme angebaut werden. Der Kunststoff ist nicht der schönste aber damit lässt sich leben, schaue ja nicht den ganzen Tag an die Decke.
