It means you can make a batch just about any size. You don't have to use the entire bottle at once. I've made some jam with as little as 2 cups of fruit or as much as 4 cups and it worked well. Just have to figure out how much of the ingredients for the amount of fruit you have.

Neither the fruit nor the pectin need to be cooked. The jam tastes SO much better - like fresh fruit, w/ less or no sugar!I let it set up for 24 hours and then froze them. Turned out perfectly every time.

Q: What is the expiry date on this product.?

You'll find the expiration date clearly printed on the label to the left of main Ball logo label under where is states "Makes 15 half pints". Mine shows Best by Oct2015
